Bishop Albert Vun thinks he is the most powerful to stay on to the control of Power, People, and Money but God is Sovereign. Time has come to reveal God’s righteousness through things happening around us.
It is unbelievable to read what has been written in the Bishop’s pastoral letter. Interesting to hear Bishop Albert Vun has always been guided by his chancellor and standing committee but in reality we all know he is running ADOS in his dictatorial style. Is he trying to say in any event if he is found guilty of complaints then it is his chancellor and his standing committee had ill-advised him? Putting the blame on others at his selfish convenience is grossly unfair.
Who are these people in the standing committee and the PCC? Are they not mostly Bishop Albert Vun’s priest and pastors? Do you think these people will testify the full truth if being called for? Should they not swear with their hands on the bible to tell the truth and not tales of their opinions and concocted truth? Why was there universally preached messages from the pulpit in many churches in the Diocese of Sabah about Bishop Vun’s pastoral letter asking people not to believe the truth but instead to believe the tales of Bishop Albert Vun?
If Bishop Albert Vun thinks he has been righteous throughout his leadership as the head of the Anglican Diocese, why was there deliberate act to stop those try to know or reveal the full truth? He said his heart is to lead the church to grow but his actions are showing otherwise. How come he has contradicted himself by writing all sorts of untruthful and disorderly facts going all out to destroy the church’s unity? Who is the root cause of all problems? He has rebuked people as mockers to discuss church issues through the web but why has he also done it by abusing his position as the head of the Diocese of Sabah with his tales?
We have given Bishop Albert Vun lots of opportunity to repent and be good but his hearts has been hardened. His refusal of total submission unto God’s sovereignty was the greatest downfall and damage to the many years of good systems established in the Diocese of Sabah and All Saints Cathedral. How do we expect him to be transformed unless God gives him new genes and DNA?
We hope to see new systems and changes that is universally accepted and practiced to be re-established to mark the new beginning of our 50 years and beyond the Diocese of Sabah for the glory of God.

I am writing this open letter to you because you were mentioned several times by our honorable Bishop regarding queries over the current Diocese crisis.
I need your comment on the widespread criticism of our great leader for his misconduct to which he neither denies nor admits. In his reply to William Thien’s letter dated 15th December 2011, he said that he chose not to respond because of your advice. I hope you will kindly explain to the church members why you gave him such an advice.
A further reference to the undated “Pastoral Letter from the Bishop” which he released on the 27th of May 2012, he has clearly indicated that if church members who wish to know more about the transactions related to the sale and purchase of land or property for the Diocese can write or call to the Diocesan Chancellor.
Our Bishop is striving to create a conducive environment in resolving the controversies and I strongly believe that you will have no hesitation in revealing the following information, which the whole congregation are very anxious to know.

Datuk Stephen Foo Kiat Sin, the Chancellor, is a lawyer and former State Attorney-General. So it is just opportune and convenient for Bishop Albert Vun to put the blame on him. At the very least, he hopes this would pressure Datuk Foo to defend him or carry the can with him. Sweeping changes are needed in the diocese as it is clear that Albert Vun has been a bad influence on his clergy who think of nothing but money. Almost every so-called sermon is about nothing but money. Just read the church bulletin every Sunday. There is nothing that is free. Every meeting, seminar, course, etc costs the congregation money. Where is the biblical edict that "freely you have receive, freely give"? Today, the Sabah Anglican churches have become a money-making enterprise no different from the secular one: No money, No talk. For the Anglicans: No money, No talk and No God.
ReplyDeleteWhere have all our tithes and generous offerings gone to when the congregation has to fork out for every event the church organizes. Take the jubilee celebration dinner. Eric Ling the rector of Good Sam, even makes a commercial out of the dinner tickets: "First come, first serve. Only 6 tables are given to Good Sam. If you don't want them, other people want them. So...schummm... grab your ticket." I would have thought a jubilee celebration of the Anglican diocese in Sabah should be celebrated happily and freely by everyone. But it seems only the privileged 60 in Good Sam (10 to a dinner table) who can pay RM70 each can celebrate the Anglican Diocese's jubilee at a diner at Sutera Harbour Resort. The poor Anglicans can celebrate away from this exclusive RM70-club. Sad or shall I say happy to say the dinner tickets at Good Sam have not been snapped up. I, for one, will not buy one. And I wouldn't want to attend it even if it is free. My heart goes out to the poor and downtrodden in the Sabah Anglican churches.

Just look at the pageview since October last year: 215,442. It means that this blog has been viewed for over 200 thousand times. That means for the past 8 months of the blog, an average of 25,000 people view the blog every month or 12,000 a week or nearly 2000 a day. It tells you how many people are directly interested, concerned and affected by the blog and the crisis. All this because of the conduct of ONE person....It causes deep pain in my heart.

Philip Lo not hijacked over 100 voting slips, it would also be won by the proposer of the 2nd. resolution.

Kokol Retreat Centre, All Saints Academy, maintaining the large pool of full time Pastoral staff at ASC, total 16 ( no including fake Rev. PL )vs 12 during dean Kho's charged.
Today we have the quantity of full time Pastoral staff and not quality, the quality of services provided, like hospital & house visitations has gone down the drain.
The existing Clergies today are only interested to fest themselves in 5 stars resort hotels, going overseas mission trips after trips and looking into their own selfish interest.
How many of them has gone to the Kudasang church that serves the local kadazan/dusun and the illegal immigrants working at the vegetable farms.
A year ago, our group visited the church and the facilities are so run down, with very bad road leading to the church not maintained and the toilets at the church was not even properly and fully constructed.Maybe not enough funding from Diocese ?
Diocese money are for Albert's spending & traveling pleasure and for buying perfumes at Airport Duty Free Body Shop for the love of his life ?.
Remember, what you told us while preaching at the pulpit a few months back, when a person get older, so as the skins, you will need various types of creams for your face, hands, body and legs ? You showered the love of your life with basket fulls of creams ?
Albert, is this what you called glorify God, you, your Rector and all the Clergies don't even blink an eye to spend RM 45,000.00 on lights, RM 45,000.00
on bew carpeting, RM 50,000.00 on pew vanishing. BTW, the church in Kundasang only have very old, dirty plastic chairs. Why must you spent RM 50,000.00 just for cleaning & vanishing of ASC pews ? Wasn't the RM 50K more then enough to furnish the Kundasang church and let the kampung folks Glorify God in comfort ?

ReplyDeleteIn the past all big celebrations like dinners were held in the church compound for free for everybody.Everyone mixed around with each other.When AV came into the picture,it was always in 5 star hotels making it unaffordable to a lot of members.It was meaningless holding a church function in a public 'unholy' place and you call it celebrations for the Lord.It is not how posh or how grand a place is or how delicious and expensive the food is,God does not care all these frills,all he cares is our faith and love for him.It is as simple and uncomplicated as that with every body sharing fellowship with one another.I agree ,in Anglican churches only the rich can get to take part in charged dinners in 5 star hotels. the poor are always left out!

I am a worshipper at Good Sam and more and more I am frustrated by Eric Ling who I feel is too immature to be a rector. He says the allegations in this blog are not true. Yet he has not provided proof to refute these allegations. How much does he know about Bishop Albert Vun Cheong Fui? I have been in Good Sam from day one and I can see how this man has changed from good to bad to worst. I am motivated by rhino, proboscis and orang utan to write this. Like them I can no longer keep quiet because I can no longer tolerate the lies, bad preaching of BAVCF and Eric Ling. I am Sure more people in Good Sam will arise and make their unhappiness of BAVCF and Eric Ling know to the world. This blog is not read just by Sabah people but people in UK, USA, Australia, NZ, Singapore, Africa, etc.
ReplyDeleteI moved from ASC to Good Sam cos I cannot stand BAV any more. I thought Tan Chor Kee was OK until he started to sound like BAV. Now we have a little bishop in the form of Eric Ling. And I have to leave Good Sam now. But where can I find a church which do not have little bishops? Except maybe the non-Anglican churches.

Sermons were very well researched biblical, unlike those in ASC, which emphasized too much of their family's experiences or great cities they have visited, eating experiences of Pak Sam Kai, Kui Nyuk, US Turkey, Shangri-La's Resort and shopping at upmarket supermarket and excellent builder of huge toy houses for self-glorifying or " SS " , ( siok sendiri ).
Pastors and church leaders very friendly and sincere, unlike those at ASC, very " very pigeon eyes ".
To all those very frustrated parishioners at ASC, you are most welcome to worship with us at Skyline.
It is irresponsible to run away from problems. Worse to ask people to leave the existing problems and join you. It is those who sees problems but do not want to be the bad guys that brings more damage than good to our church.

Burial for the dead Anglican members. Brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. I am very adamant in solving this most cruel subject for those Anglicans families who are unable to get a burial place for their departed loves one. This burial thing affected the whole ADOS members. (1) Just let me know It is right, not to let an Anglican who have been baptised and conformed and have been going to church most of his life time accept, may be for some reason during his later year he or she did not go to church and the shepherd never go to look for his lost sheep which he (the shepherd) is instructed by the Lord Jesus to leave the 99 and go in search of the lost one, cannot be buried in the Anglican cemetery (2). Now a pagan who, at his death bed where ask whether (a request normally by a family member who is a member of Anglican) he or she accept Jesus Christ by a pastor or priest present (whether conscious or not, noted his or her head) were allowed to be buried in the Anglican cemetery immediately after death. Brothers and sisters in Christ let us compare the above 1 and 2. The one who accepted Jesus Christ as his or her saviour and knew God most of his life may have contributed a lot in tithing and services to the church only during a short period of time when he or she did not show up in church but no one from the church can proof that they have visited and try to help him or her to return to the church. This is the pastoral love, care and concern our church members need from the pastors or priests. To cut the story short, the one at the death bed who is a pagan, never step into a church, knew nothing about Christianity, never hear sermon, never read a single word of God, we will not be able to find out whether he or she truly understand what has been said to him or her. Yet he or she is allowed to be buried in the Anglican’s cemetery after death. Now brothers and sisters in Christ If you can allowed the pagan who just accepted Jesus Christ before he or she pass away to be buried in an Anglican cemetery why you can’t allow an Anglican members who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Trinity all his life to be buried in an Anglican’s cemetery. Brothers and sisters in Christ. In your own opinion who is more eligible to be buried in the Anglican’s cemetery. The lost and dead’s Anglican whom the church never bother to go in search as instructed by Jesus Christ to bring back to the church, only make investigation whether he or she have come to church during the past one year if not than he or she is not allow to be buried in the Anglican’s cemetery. Whereas the pagan never even step into the church in his life time is allowed to be buried in the Anglican’s cemetery. If the bishop’s instruction is wrong all the priests and pastors should tell him and ask him to review or retract the instruction since he say he has the prerogative to do anything’s, Don’t just Angkat Kaki only because you are equally guilty, as a shepherd of God’s flock, given to you to take care of. I am the same brother who wrote about the Kudat’s case. I rest my case.

As a good Christian/Church, you should be encouraging your bros & sis in Christ to stay united. Is there a need to encourage them to leave and join Skyline? I strongly believe that Skyline is not a church which takes opportunity at the expense of others' pains. Sad to say that Skyline could have such a member like you...You are not helping anybody but merely destroying the Kingdom of God.

Further to the burial ground business BAV is not only cruel to the bereaved family but he is actually crazy of money. As money is always the root of evil. No wonder why BAV has become so evil for money. His main reason for keeping this instruction, (if a person is absent from going to church for one year or more that person is not allow to be buried in Anglican cemetery.) is because of greed for money and if not for what? He will lose out in that person tithing and giving. BAV is not concern about why that person cannot come to church neither are his pastors or priests bother to inquire and pay a visit to find out more and to bring the lost sheep back but instead put the blame on the dead person who is unable to defense himself (dead man cannot speak) but I can speak on their behalf to correct the wrong done by BAV. What they did now is when they receive a request for burial, they will send a pastor to investigate whether the dead person is a regular worshiper or not and how long that person have not come to church and so on and so forth and the pastor will make a conclusion and pass it to his boss later to BAV. I am wondering what the pastor can find out from the dead? Can the dead speak and defense himself?
ReplyDeleteNow what about all the Indos and the Filipinos who die here, they are allow to be buried in our cemetery without question. When we ask? You will say this is out of compassion and love for them but where is your compassion and love to those Anglicans, some who may be third or fourth generations Christians and have been worshiping in our Church most of the time. If BAV is so adamant as not to review or retract this instruction which he said he is the bishop and he has the prerogative .Then let us pray to the almighty God that the next bishop will not be money crazy and be more compassionate, loving and caring for his sheep and look into this instruction when he takes office soon.

DeleteI heard that the old people in our church are scared that they may not get a place to be buried in,that is why they go to church to show their faces.Is this a correct thing to do? In that case,they tolerate the preaching week in week out even when scolded and cursed,just to sit in church on a Sunday to get the pastor or priest to notice them so that they will report back to AV that so and so did go to church,therefore he/she is justified to have a burial plot in the Anglican cemetery when they die.
What has gone wrong in our church? The young priests are all brain washed.You just can't see any humility in them,their show of friendliness is not genuine.After all the comments saying that they are arrogant and proud,they try to show some friendliness but their arrogance is inscribed in them that it is very difficult to shake it off! Did they really go to a proper seminary before?I see other priests from other churches are not like ours.If they went to the same seminary and taught the same thing,they should all behave Christlike,humble,gentle etc..

ReplyDeleteListen,when a person continues to commit a sin without repentance, after a while his conscience would be insensitive to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and he would think that it is alright to carry on drowning in sin.He denied Jesus again without any sense of shame or regret.
This is the way our conscience can be blinded by Satan to continue living in sin. We must constantly ask the Lord to search our hearts to see if there is any wickedness in us and be willing to be cleansed by Him.
REMEMBER, you are children of GOD. Do you still have PEACE in your heart?

Those pastors/priests who sided with BAV because he is their god and they don’t believe in the one Trinity God otherwise, why should they keep telling lies to cover up for BAV? And they are not afraid to face the real God. From the way they try to defend BAV we can see the type of pastors/priests we have today, most fear man (BAV) and Carry leg, do not have conscience and materialistic hoping BAV will raise his pay and bonus also faster promotion. Pastors /priests and bishops are suppose to be Godly man, fear God, always speak the Truth, Honest, Unbiased, full of Humility, Loving, Caring, Compassionate, Do not Tell Tales, Do not Gossips, in search of lost sheep, Should not have earthly thinking, Do not judge others (the less you say the less mistakes you will make), Always stick to God’s words as spiritual leaders, and many other tributes from the Bible.
ReplyDeleteAs pastors/priests and bishops, if your boss (BAV) have make a mess of himself let him sort out for himself. He is not a three year child that need your help, beside you do not know what he have done, you only hear what he or others say and start opening your foul big mouth and say things that you did not actually know and at the same time try to cover up his sinful act and call yourself a pastor/priest and bishops. Do you know how your parishioners look at you? What kind of respect they have for you in telling lies. They too, wanted to see in the transparency and accountability of BAV. Most of you pastors/priests and bishops are not in the ASC so you will not know what actually going on here and how BAV manage the ASC, AASA and ADOS funds and properties. We heard a lot of untruth and half truth stories told by Pastors/priests and bishops to their PCC and parishioners. If you keep doing it as Pastors/priests and bishops you will eventually get your fingers burn in the end. It is a bigger sins for pastors/priests and bishops to tell lies and half truth to the innocence parishioners, especially those who do not have access to internet. What a shame to the ADOS and to yourselves being God’s servants who take side. You should advice those who have done wrong no matter who he is because ultimately you and I still have to face the Almighty God. In the eyes of God a wrong is a wrong no matter how you twist and turn, it is still a wrong it cannot be right. The only thing you can do is to come before God to repent and confess your sins and he will forgive you. To me I have done nothing wrong because I do not manage God’s money and properties. I go to church every Sunday to worship and praise God and remember how my Lord Jesus die for my sins and to part take Holy Communion with my brothers and sisters in Christ as well as to give my tithe. I saw, heard and observed what I write the truth nothing but the truth. I also believe the whole ASC members seen what I saw unless some still believe that bishop can do no wrong because God put him there. God also put King Saul and King David there yet they sins against God. Abraham and Moses also sins against God. Yes, we all sins otherwise Jesus Christ’s die for nothing, when we sins we confess, we ask for forgiveness and repent. BAV don’t sins he is above God because he is the bishop and he have the prerogative, so he can do no wrongs.

Recently I attended a requiem of a Roman Catholic friend, whose family member had passed away at the FLS parlour. This friend’s family are very close to me, and this particular member who passed away very seldom go to church in his life time. The priest in charge do not know him, yet they gave him a requiem and allowed him to be buried in the cemetery with no question ask. Not only this, the priest and members of the church visited the family and shown them their Love, Care and Concern. They gave them all the Help they needed. I am so touch by the action of the priest and members of their church. In my heart, how I wish my Anglican’s church can be half as good. What have gone wrong with our church? Where is Christ Love? Why is it when love is ever preached but never practice? A church without love and compassion is not a church at all. Our church was never like this before, only after BAV manage ADOS as its bishop. He has no love for the sheep given to him. All he cares is big projects, Luxury and money, money and money only. Jesus Christ’s Church is not base on how many Big and Grand Building you have or how many luxury cars you own? Neither, it is base on how rich you are? It is base on LOVE and Compassion you have for Christ’s sheep and people. Go and find out why is it that the Roman Catholic and the Basel Churches grow so fast and we are stagnant, particularly in the main towns of Sabah. We got 100 new members but we lost more than 100 members why? Don’t use the natural birth addition to cheat us and tell us that this is growth. BAV and his Priests are good at using figure to look as if there is a big increase, yet the church is as empty as before. Look at ASC, we have more members worshipping SIX years ago than now. There are few Anglicans members migrated to ASC from all over Sabah Anglican’s churches to work in KK. This is not growth. Yet why are most of the pastors, priests and bishops even some members cannot see what’s wrong with BAV and keep supporting his sins blindly? In other words all of you are sinning with him. If BAV has any transparency and Accountability he should come out to face the April’s AGM instead of spending his holidays in Thailand. This is proof enough for any one, especially all the three hundreds over attendances and the 2 resolutions which were approved by him and voted by all those present. Yet he refused to accept defeat. Brothers and sisters in Christ just tell me what type bishop do we have? And yet those pastors, priests and bishops and some members continue to support him as if he is their god and believe whatever he did is right. Don’t forget who are your real pay masters, BAV is also included. This is the reason why so many ASC and ADOS members have no more respect for those pastors, priests and bishops. In our eyes a wrong is a wrong and a sin is a sin. What is wrong cannot be right. All the pastors’ priests and bishops please do remember that the ASC and ADOS members are God’s faithful worshipers and contributors. They are also the guardian of God’s money and properties. As contributors and guardian of God’s money we are responsible only to God to see that God’s money and properties are properly utilise and there is 100% transparency and accountability from those who manage God’s money and properties. The bishops and all the priests and pastors are answerable to us and to God because they are servants of God to serve his people. The Anglican’s Church is not an independent Church, where the senior pastor says all and they have only one church but Sabah’s Anglican has 30-50 churches (big and small) to take care of.

they will asked, which of the services did the deceased attend ?
Having answered the 1st. question, the bucket starts to pass from one person to another until the rightful Clergy.
After having given the Clergy the full particulars and if he/she not satisfied or
name unknown to them, the very insult actions starts, whereby the Clergy will do some detective work to check on the deceased as to whether he/she attended services at ASC ?
Is this how the modern days Anglicans churches operates and shows humility & compassion ?
Are these clergies SADISTS, making life so difficult & painful for the deceased families ?

Rev.Chak,I hope stories about you that are going round is not true.Maybe you are forced to be on AV's side.I want you to know I have great respect for you and that since you are in a very difficult situation you have no choice but bow to the boss's commandments.Using money to 'buy' the archbishop was a very corrupt way so it is really true about the conduct of AV.Can we really say we do not care what he does as long as he has 'passion for God' and does a lot for the DOS even to the point of 'buying' people up? What has become of our church? Members open up your eyes and ears! Birds of the feathers (pastors/priests) and some members,you still want to go for a bishop like the one are having now? AV will never change,repent, for what? Any person with dignity would have thrown in the towel and to hell with ASC/ADOS and start a new church with his followers, like Ronnie Liu a man with credibility and yet I heard a spiritual man in ASC did try to 'stain' him but was told off.He had no proof but shot lies from his mouth!

That is why we need to know who are in the PCC of ASC. AV can put pastors (they can be in the PCC as observers and but should not be allow to vote) and staff (staff of ASC should not be in the PCC unless co-opted) to the PCC. You have a CONSTITUTION which will allow how many the DEAN (AV) can co-opt to the PCC. Will someone please put ASC Constitution on this blog for all to read and understand the composition of ASC PCC.

Many members said they do not want to buy the tickets for the dinner in the 5 star hotel Magellan.They said they cannot 'eat' that dinner knowing so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ in the ulu are in poverty.The money is best given to them.Why splash so much money for the food which only benefit ourselves.By giving them the money is already a blessed 50 year old birthday present for those in need than to give the money to a 5 star hotel which does not benefit the children of God. It is so sad to think,in our church,we seldom think of others but only on ourselves! The rich (church) always gets everything in 5 star standards and only gives the crumbs to the less fortunate or not at all. Do you all think God will be very happy with the way money is splashed and call it 'to glorify God' for 50 years as a diocese which is now showing 'cracks'?

许多座堂以外单纯的会友和教会领袖还认为温昌辉是为福音受苦，打属灵的战，被妒忌、被攻击。他们不能、也难以相信属灵领袖是腐败、骄傲和邪恶的。
只有深受其害的牧者家庭、教会领袖和弟兄姐妹才明白目前教区的真正危机、体会恶者的诡计 。我何等怀念以往同心合意敬拜上帝、同心合意建立教会的日子。
如果以往看到教区或教会有大计划，我们都欢天喜地，认为领袖有异象，钱财、数目、人力都算不了什么，只要相信上帝就必成就， 但今天我们只有痛心和担心，祈求上帝的公义快快彰显。
我不明白为什么帐目不清不楚、见不得光，所以我期待调查结果 ；但我肯定的是温昌辉待人处事是没有爱心和狡猾的。 我如何形容温昌辉呢？ 大野狼 “ BIG BAD WOLF ” 。

God have sent us to the wilderness for 6 years for a test. Some leaders were tempted and have fallen into Satan's trap. They opted for the glory of this fallen world instead our eternal kongdom.Sin have enslaved them. ReplyDeleteInspite of the fact that many do not agree with the way things are in church like everything in 5 star styles,the church headed by AV still does not give in an inch to the cries of the sheep,still go for 5 star dinners.Still haven't learned from the loss made from centenarian dinner held at 1 Borneo. One would have thought once bitten twice shy but no,still no change,still nothing less than 5 star!! Well,expect another big loss as many have decided not to celebrate the 50th diocese birthday with a bishop and his cronies who do not care for his sheep.Why ask the present congregation to buy up the tickets 'meant for the next generation' as AV always says,everything for the next generation.I think the burial plots disallowed for the present generation are reserved for the next generation! I do not mean to hurt anybody's feelings but by disallowing some people to be buried in the anglican cemetery due to not going to church is inexcusable! Many people go to church but you do not know what is in the heart only God knows .AV being the bishop,do you know what is in his heart? I beleive that as long as the person is a baptised anglican then he/she should be buried in an anglican cemetery. As it is, it looks like in order to hold the number, AV is using the cemetery's carrot.

SINGAPORE: Five members of City Harvest Church (CHC), including its founder Pastor Kong Hee, have been arrested for alleged criminal breach of trust and falsification of accounts of the church.
The other four members are John Tan Yee Peng, Lam Leng Ham, Chew Eng Ham and Sharon Tan.
The five were questioned by the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) on Tuesday. They are out on bail and will be charged in court on Wednesday.
CAD said it commenced an investigation on 31 May 2010 into certain financial transactions of CHC after receiving information of misuse of church funds.
The Commissioner of Charities (COC) began its inquiry into the charity on the same day under the Charities Act over alleged misconduct and mismanagement of the building fund which had been raised and earmarked for specific purposes.
The COC said financial irregularities of at least S$23 million from the charity's funds had been discovered. These funds were used with the purported intention to finance the music career of Ho Yeow Sun, who is Pastor Kong's wife and co-founder of the church.
The COC found that there was a concerted effort to conceal this movement of funds from the charity's stakeholders, saying it is concerned about the misconduct and mismanagement in the administration of the charity.
With the consent of the Attorney General, the COC has suspended eight persons, including the five arrested on Tuesday, from the exercise of their office or employment as governing board members.
The other three are Ho Yeow Sun, Kelvin Teo Meng How and Tan Su Pheng Jacqueline.
All eight have been suspended from their executive memberships in the charity with immediate effect.
The COC said it will also consider taking further courses of action against these individuals in order to protect the charity. This may include the removal of these persons from their office as trustee, governing board members, officers, agents or employees of the charity.
With the suspension, the eight persons will be prohibited from taking part or being involved in managing or representing the charity on any matters, or attending any of the charity's Annual General Meetings, Extraordinary General Meetings and Board Meetings.

It is not fair to blame the previous bishop for recommending Albert Vun as bishop. A person can turn bad or get corrupted. King Saul turned bad and even Judas who betrayed Jesus was personally selected by Jesus himself. So is Jesus responsible for His own death? Certainly not. So is the previous bishop responsible for Albert Vun behaviour, certainly not. It is Albert Vun own doing.

DeleteI can't help feeling that God is revealing something to us by revealing what is happening in City Harvest Church in Singapore.It is a mega church and very rich and it took the investigators at least 2 years to get to the root of things and now finally judgement comes.

I also noticed that CHC did not go for a signature campaign drive to get actions going but a few complained without the others knowing and the law started to act,not like AV told the archbishop only a few trouble makers no need to bother,he could sort the problems out internally.Whether a few or a lot of people complaining,did not matter,the problems should be investigated like what ADOS is now having.We hope once the investigation has finished it will be made transparent to all and no covered up.Then only we can go to the next action!

Before the investigating team from the Province look into ASA it must be established that ASA was started with the blessings of the ASC which first funded the ASA and also by the SYNOD as ASA account was taken out from ASC and put to ADOS.

ASC/ADOS is run very similar to that of City Harvest Church if you care to look up their church history. Their accounts are also kept very secretive from the members,and they all live in style and want members to give,give,give,sounds familiar? No wonder AV keeps talking about the future generation,this church has young professionals who give generously.Being professionals and yet they can't tell what sorts of persons their pastors are.They can really disguise themselves - wolves in sheep's clothing.
ReplyDeleteit is not the problem of the disguise.. the problem here lies in the youths themselves. time and again i have been invited to participate in their "service", so they call it.. whether from ASC, or City harvest or FCC.. i can tell u honestly that i have no intention of joining these. I have been for ONE service and i couldn't take the way they had turned the entire thing into a rock concert of sorts, where they even have cameras recording. Whenever i challenge them to give me a Good reason as to WHY i should even bother joining these services, they say "because it's fun!". In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with singing hymns and approaching the service with a quietened heart. this idea of "come to church because it's fun and u can make friends" is utter rubbish! i have talked to many of these so-called youth members and i can tell u that all they know is "God is good, i love Him!" but nothing beyond that. Shallow lot, focusing only on having a good time. So as i was saying, it really isn't so much to do with disguise, it's just how these youth were brought up. For crying out loud, we throw CONCERTS in church now... gone are the days of Plays and Choirs around christmas time as a means of preaching the message to others...

much like the governments of the day, these people do not think he is Jesus.. they know he is a man. the problem begins only because he is a man of power, and a man who will feed them and their families. what they do, they do for favours in return, perhaps the luxury of driving expensive vehicles, perhaps luxury trips for the entire family which they could never otherwise afford, or perhaps money itself in the form of lucrative salaries (whether official or not)? these people have the wrong thing as their focus point, but i don't really think it's because they regard he is Jesus and can do no wrong. they're just serving their own self-interests.

From what is shown on You Tube,CHC's style of worshiping God is not my cup of tea but be careful,if AV is allowed to stay on,soon after building his CC, a rock concert will be held every Sunday and truly it is for the future generation,the old would have gone to the next world! It will be no more Anglican!
ReplyDeletehad enough of this rubbish type evangelism.. we are anglicans, if he wants so bad to do rock concerts, then he can go ahead and join SIB. i do sometimes visit them,and that it PRECISELY how their worship goes... from laying hands to being slain in the spirit. just leave us anglicans alone. we liked our service the way it USED to be before he started his "dim the lights" approach, and back when we only had the pipe organ and the choir. there really is NO NEED for the drums and the lead singers, not the mention the dancers... in fact, we didn't even need those renovations he made, our stone altar was very much of sentimental value, and the church had a traditional, rustic feel to it. not anymore, and certainly not after all the costs incurred in making the church as such.

ReplyDeleteBrothers and sisters in Christ, if the result of the investigation of BAV has failed us than there is no other alternative for us but to present all the facts to MACC and let MACC handle it .We do not have to pay any legal fee nor do we have to appear in court. MACC will be more than happy to do their job for us. It is so simple. Actually all this while we are praying and hoping AV will repent and apologize so that we can put the past away and move on but he is so adamant to keep saying he is right and did nothing wrongs. He insisted that we are the one that is wrong. We are faithful Christians who are willing to forgive AV's sins but in the eyes of the Law a wrong is a wrong and facts are facts, no matter how you twist, turn and lie. It is still wrong. It is so simple and yet his high IQ cannot understand.

Coffee shop talk-over heard. A table of uncles sitting near the next table,one of them said,if you want your son to earn lots of money,go for priesthood.In the old days all parents did not encourage their sons to be priests because their pay was very low,but mind you those that went against their parents' wishes had the calling from God and they were quality priests.
ReplyDeleteNowadays,I can see some priests are very well looked after by the members of churches and you must know which church to go to. Preach about the prosperity gospel,name a few rich characters in the bible and sure enough the members will keep giving more and more because the pastor will tell them that God will bless them many folds,just try Him God said.
Look at the CHC,so rich and the pastor and his wife live like a king and queen. They still support their pastor even though he is on bail.Look at ASC,same crisis but the majority of the members did not support the bishop and now an investigation is going on and the members welcome it but not the bishop though!That is the difference between these 2 churches.I suppose in ASC the members are more discerning and know their knowledge of the bible well and they really want accountability and transparency and not follow their shepherd blindly.
I must also give credit to the HOB who listen to the cries of the members and want to solve the crisis.I can tell that the archbishop loves his sheep. If nothing is done,then who wants to be a christian. A church should be truthful in all things and care for those who are poor,sick,lonely and helpless and should not think of self only. I am very anxious to know the outcome of the investigation.
So am I. I also share how you you feel about the CHC and ASC. We can not serve money God and our holy God at the same time. We have to make a choice. Our God is holy, faithful. truthfuL. He is the creator of heaven and earth. God says I am who I am. He is the only God that we worship . HE Is worthy of our praise.So, May I urge all the religious leaders stay alert and awake that you are not the god of your church but servant of our holy God. Stop telling lies like eat 'san choi' and make sure you call a spade a spade. Listen to God in your quiet time and make time for preparing a good sermon that you are going to preach within the precious alloted time of 30 minutes and not to digress to irrelevant subject, such as complaints and lies. It is a time to draw our church to God and feed them with spiritual food. Till then, It's time to go to church to attend Sunday service. May God help us when we all are feeling helpless in the mess of our diocese. May God's tighteouness prevail. Amen !!

2. How much did he spend to renovate and furnish that house which he stayed briefly while the Deanery was getting another upgrade makeover?
3. What are the “special privileges” he received for having a big family?
4. Who paid for his son when accompanying him to “mission trips”? The list goes on and on. Everything is being manipulated, monopolised, etc.
5. Go to Diocesan office and tell them you want to build a tomb in Anglican Cemetery. There is only one approved contractor who would charge you RM7,000 to RM8,000 for a piece of 4’x8’ concrete slab. But who selected this contractor? BAV must have given the authority to individuals close to him to deal with these matters while he sits piously as the leader of the ADOS not to be blamed for any trivial irregularities but sharing the spoils anyhow. These individuals are believed to be from the Diocesan Office.
6. Who chose the contractor for the lights?
7. Who chose the KL supplier for the carpets? Who chose the contractor to varnish the pews?
8.Who introduced him to cars like Alphard?
Did these people assigned for the jobs take the trouble to find a few quotations and supposedly present to BAV for decision?
If only one contractor or supplier is chosen, can it be assumed that these staff are just plain lazy or not resourceful enough or having other motives to present only one quotation to BAV ?
He must have trusted them to present him with the best available quotation or the best candidate willing to play ball in sharing the overpriced quotation.
So the next questions are:
1. Who is his Purchasing Officer?
2. Who decides and go to buy Ikea furniture, Korean plates, Thailand plates, expensive love gifts to faithful clergy and staff?
3. How were the purchases made? Were they made using personal credit cards and if so, who gets to enjoy the Reward Points?
4. Who decides which labour agency to go for all the Diocesan foreign workers and who owns this agency?
Was there a comparison of price? Was this agency based in Tawau even for Interior and West coast foreign workers ?
The above 4 Questions are best posed to his former trusted Bishop’s PA, Esther Liew, the seller of the 10yrs old overpriced Toyota Harrier to John Yeo. Although no longer in Sabah, she would emerge for every major Diocesan event for the glamour. She would just walk into the Diocesan office every time she is back, as if she is still a staff there. After inspecting every inch around the office, she would see Ps Stella and share long discussions, with Stella often shielding her mouth while whispering to Esther.
Expect to see her on 24 July and we can all ask her.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, can someone help me to clarify whether foreigners working in Sabah and worshipping in Anglican’s Churches be allowed to make decision for the present and future of our Churches? If not why are the Indos and Filiphinos allowed to vote in our AGM? If yes, how can they know the decision they made will benefit us? They do not know our history neither do they know about Anglicanism. Sooner or later they will go back to their countries when their work permits expired or they are unable to find other jobs when the present one is completed. Another thing does the ROS or any other Government’s departments allowed them to vote in our AGM? If not then there is something very wrong for BAV to encourage them to vote in our AGM.

As a member of a NGO in Sabah,I do know foreigners are not allowed to hold office in any NGOs.As for the question whether they are allowed to vote and make major decisions, you will need to look into your Constitution to check whether such voting right is allowed.

Have these foreigners applied and be officially registered as a member of your organisation? Have they been officilly accepted with membership granted to them officially (membership number and letter of accpetance issued to them)? If not,then they can exercise the same rights as a member of your organisation.Any election carried with their participation (either by secret ballots or show of hands) will be declared as invalid by the authorities concerned.

ReplyDeleteYes,I agree,now is the time to train the younger generation to know the love of God and people,care for the less fortunate,honour their parents and older people etc instead of having the CC which is a waste of money.I just can not see how by building his CC is a way of glorifying God.WE don't need to build mega buildings to prove to the world and God that we love him.We are after worldly things instead of spiritual ones.
Look at CHC,senior pastor living in multi million dollar pen house.Wife living in Hollywood said to be pursuing her career in music-singing and lives in a rented big mansion at the expense of the members,rubbing shoulders with celebrities making a name for herself.Is this the way a pastor's wife should lead? I am not condemning her but just wondering,not only me but many christians and non christians also said the same thing.What I am confused is that the members now even knowing what their pastor and his inner circle have done,yet they still support them,why?They are all trying to cover up their wrong doings.It is already stated the charges are only against the individuals and not the church.I agree,love them by all means,forgive them for the wrong they have done but why support them for the wrong they have done? Sin is sin,big ones or small ones.It cannot go away just by persistantly saying 'we love our pastor,he helps us a lot,our lives are changed because of him 'etc..I can see the same thing is happening in the minds of some of our young priests and young people. Do we mean to say we support deceitfulness,cheating,corruptions etc just by giving that person a slap on the wrist and all is well again? Other people who are not christians will think this is what christinity is all about and may become one because of such doctrine or may not want to be one for having such a relaxed law! We cannot have the best of both worlds!
They will be very happy if you leave. Stay back and protect your church heritage. Even those that have left should come back and support the cause. It should be those that deviate from the Anglican heritage that should leave and set up their own independent church.

In the court of public opinion, people view religious officials in a totally different light compared to politicians and government officials.
THE public is used to reading about politicians, government officials and businessmen being hauled to court to face charges of misuse of funds, criminal breach of trust and corruption. We are generally not surprised because our expectations of their level of integrity are somewhat lower.
But it would appear that religious figures are fast catching up when it comes to having their day in court. Religious establishments have increasingly found themselves in the news for the wrong reasons, from allegations of child sex abuse and corruption to leaking documents.
I have noticed that when a christian does something wrong,the next question from non christians is,does he have a religion? If the answer is-yes,a christian.Then they will say,what, a christian also did that,aren't christians supposed to be goody-goody,telling others not to do this or that and now what more a pastor doing it? I also found that christians are more condemned than non christians if they sin!They think the christians are saints,therefore,we must be very careful in our character and actions.
ReplyDeleteCHC members are so concerned that the present crisis in their church tarnishes the name of their church and try very hard to cover the wrong deeds of their pastor and gang.If they think their pastor and gang are wrongfully charged they should sue back .No amount of coming out to tell what a best pastor they have will do any good.It will not influence the judge's decision.I am sure a lot of them did not know of anything happening in their church and many were caught by surprise.They only know the pastor they love is now charged and some even think he may be vindicated!
Whatever is the verdict,the name of the church somehow will be tainted because every time the name of the church is mentioned,people will remember what happened.Likewise ADOS will be the same.We just can't erase what happened.Even generations to come,even when the crisis was solved,the fact remains that it is already recorded in the history of ADOS,it cannot be erased. Even if some people are now trying to put in a good word for AV,it is already in the hands of the investigators.As I see it,AV's cronies like CHC are now counting all the good deeds that he had done to cancel his wrong doings!
Yes,the world like to comment on Christian who is doing wrong. We should take it and examine ourselves . Once ,we accepted Christ as our saviour. We should know our God hate sin. God is True & Light. We should live according his way.We are His Salt & Light in this world.Those unbeliever like to condemn His children once their found in wrong doing. Unbeliever belong to the darkness or Satan . As a Christian be difference from the world, we should bring Glory to God, not shame!
DeleteTitus 1:7.For an elder or bishop must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick tempered,he must not be a heavy drinker, violent,or dishonest with money. It was the letter Apostle Paul wrote to Titus 2000 year ago but this letter is very suit for the present world.as we saw in the scripture all Christians are called to be blameless,we saw that all Christian are call to be good stewards of God. And as we will see today all Christian are called not be self willed but humble. Self willed means self pleasing or dominated by self interest, inconsiderate of other or one who as to have his own way. The type of person, Paul in mind is a starfish arrogant,prideful person. What Paul is saying is that and elder cannot expect to get his own way all the time while the church members are to respect and follow the leadership of the elders, it is a Servant type leadership, not a Dictatorship. Again this ought to be true only in all who call themselves a Christian.
DeleteThe underlying problem with a self willed person is PRIDE! Pride is the oldest sin in the world. As it was pride which caused the most beautiful angel sin against God also lead Adam and Eve sin against God.PRIDE or PROUND is a very serious sin before God. Pro 16:5. The Lord detests the PROUND, they will surely be punished.
Some causes of Pride. Pride will often come when we trusting ourselves instead of trusting in God. Pride is a sign of faith in oneself. Habakkuk 4:2.Look at the PROUND ! They trust in themselves and their live are crooked. The pround does not have a upright soul but that the just shall live by their faith. The PROUND thinks,he is good enough as he is. The PROUND person feels satisfied with himself . We have a problem with pride when we think,we know better than God. Pride also comes when we trust in the things of this World. They put their trust in knowledge. Talking pride in what they know. Not realizing that the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.(when make comments in the blog careful about your statement ). People also take pride in their appearance ; their look, nice car,big house and many. People take pride in their position of Power.
As a Christian , we should be humble because we have not right to be PROUND. All the good thing which we do would bring Glory to God.

Archbishop is a clean and up-right man and will not be influenced by you.
You should be ashamed of yourself not to use your head to discern what is of God and what is not. You are a lawyer - trained to think and analyse carefully and you are also trained to speak and act truthfully as a priest and servant of God. But you allow yourself to be on the side of evil and deception and used by Satan.
Your late father-in-law, Mr.Lok Ken Sing and your mother-in-law (Mrs. Lok) are both God-fearing worshippers, clean and truthful. But you have let them down very badly. Worst still, you let God down without a wink of your eyes.

Many people know and saw you working overtime at the Diocesan Office immediately after Archbishop Bolly announced investigation into the Diocese and Cathedral accounts.
If the accounts are in order and no manipulation need to be done, why did you toil so hard for your beloved Master and Bishop.
The Accounts Officer of City Harvest Church, Singapore is charged for falsification of accounts and minutes and will be given life imprisonment.
You will face the same fate and de-registration if you are convicted of doing the same.

Not only we have an Arrogant, lying and worldly shameless bishop, we also have a bunch of nincompoops who’s supporting him blindly. I am sure by now most of the blog readers know who the nincompoops are. Do you know how many English and Chinese worshipers despise BAV each time he come into the ASC. He is no different from Hong Kee. To those nincompoops when BAV sins it is alright and it is OK bishop don’t sins and they continue to up hold BAV as their god? They forget that by their deeds they are sinning against the Almighty God. Aren’t they ashamed? Don’t they have conscience? Can a bishop do no wrongs? Why do they follow a man blindly and not God? ReplyDeleteI can see many similarities in ADOS and CHC crisis headed by AV and Kong Hee respectively but a vast difference in their sheep's reactions.Last Sunday,Kong Hee's church came out in full force to show their undying faith in their beloved pastor giving him and his wife all the glory.They do not mind them living in luxuries at their expense.This is the couple they worship not God as far as I can see.
In ASC/ADOS,the members definitely are more down to earth,do not follow their shepherd blindly neither do they tolerate any hanky panky.They are not the fanatic type like those in CHC,they want to know where every cent that they gave have gone to and you better have a true account as many members are professional accountants,lawyers,developers etc. Whether you are the Dean,Datuk or Bishop ,you have to be transparent and accountable in everything.
Now with Kong Hee case, we are able to see more clearly where AV is taking us. Kong Hee was an Anglican priest before he started CHC. He was chosen by God, Av is also chosen by God. Kong Hee is very charismatic, AV is also very charismatic. Kong Hee is very extravagant, Av is also very extravagant. Kong Hee loves money, Av also loves money. Kong Hee’s wife started a school of music, AV’s wife started SPA and ASAA. Kong Hee has an independent Church, AV run ADOS like an independent Church. Kong Hee is a fantastic preacher; AV was a good preacher before 2006. Both like luxuries things. Both enrich themselves at the expanse of the congregations. Both do things without accountability and transparency. Let’s all ADOS members wake up from their, cannot careless behavior and BAV can do no wrong because he is God’s appointed. Kong Hee is also God’s appointed and have the biggest successful Church in SEA. Yet the greed for money and power hold no bond. God has removed the blindness from our eyes by the revelation of Kong Hee case in the nick of time. Let us all pray for all the members of ADOS to see what kind of bishops we have so that they are able to stand up for the sack of the ADOS and the Glory of God. Amen

DeleteKong Hee is God's appointed & unfortunately AV was NOT & still is NOT God's appointed, he lost the election of the Bishop in 2005 to Dean Khoo.
It was NOT God's will that he was been appointed by default by the Synod, Standing Committee & The recomemdations of the pass Bishops & Mr.Kenneth Thien.
It was due to his UNGODLY appointment to the Bishopship that today we faced the rumpus from GOD, the Anglicans are so divided. All the Clergies are so blinded with all the wrongs done. They don't blink an eye lid for spending $$$$$ without calling for quotations and they buy secondhand 10 years old 4WD like buying a toy car.
Just the latest electronic gadget gift from AV can buy they soul & they will sing to AV tune. ( FYI, the gift that you got from AV, doesn't comes from his pocket, these are the $$$$$$$ from the parishioners, OK ).
Brother Kenneth we have been admiring your sacrifice to the Lord from the day you accepted your calling to be a priest. We were very proud to have you. You have our great respect but after reading from this blog, if it is true you are not worth 2 cents and you will lose all our respect. We only pity your wife and mother-in-law. Especially Mrs. Loke who we have great respect for her selfless service to the Lord. Mr. Loke was also a very honest, faithful server and a well respected man of God. We hope there is still time for you to turn around so that the Good name of the Loke family will be remembered by us. Your parents and relatives are also faithful believers of Christ Jesus and never miss a service when they are around. We do not wish to be disunited because of one man sins. You are an ordained Priest you should know God’s will for ADOS. It is not worth to help a man who tries to destroy our Church. You do not know his thoughts only God’s know. ReplyDeleteOPEN letter to the Anglican Bishop of Sabah cum sole trustee 1st July, 2012
BISHOPGATE – protest against the Celebration Centre in All Saints’ Cathedral
1. As a member and a beneficiary of Anglican Church of Sabah especially of All Saints’ Cathedral, I would like to ask the Bishop Datuk Albert Vun Cheong Fui to suspend the Ground breaking ceremony of the Celebration Centre in All Saints’ Cathedral worth RM30 millions on 24th July, 2012.
2. Amongst the reasons for this request are the following:-
2.1 The Bishop has yet presented the complete development plan for public preview.
2.2 The Bishop has already incurred a lot of preliminary costs of the said project without accountability since November, 2011 when fund raising was commenced without a permit to raise fund from the public.
2.3 The Bishop has yet to present its statement of accounts since last year indicating how much of receipts and expenditure so far even after the Bishop and as Dean of All Saints’ Cathedral has transferred some money to the said Building Fund possibly unauthorized.
2.4 It is known that ASC needs to raise 60% of the project costs and failing that target within the shortest time, it is likely the project would be stalled and a white elephant in ASC ground.
2.5 It is understood that it is good practice for the church to have at least 50% of the desired sum before the project is to be started.
3. STOP order
3.1 Unless the terms and conditions in 2 above are met, a stop order is desired. There is no point to launch the project with ground breaking ceremony.
3.2 The Bishop must now call an EGM for the purpose to consider this STOP order.
4. Burden for members and beneficiaries of ADOS
In the absence of adequate fund to complete this project, all sorts of problems can arise with the main contractors, the consultants and the authorities and it would be meaningless and costly to dismantle an incomplete concrete building. Furthermore when such a big contract encounter financial constraints, ADOS would be placed in untenable and precarious position resulting in the total collapse of Anglican Church in Sabah when ASC could lose its priced and precious land asset in ASC as any source of finance would demand collateral. This has happened in Kota Kinabalu and can happen again when the same ‘players’ are involved...
5. NOTICE to be heeded
Bishop, please take NOTICE of this STOP order. You had been removed as acting Dean of ASC by the ASC AGM 2012’s resolution with two third majority and yet you have ignored it. You are into an illegal project in ASC ground when you did an illegal Kokol Prayers Summit recently.

This is my own opinion,I never accepted the fact that AV was chosen by God and so was Kong Hee after what I read about him in the newspapers as well as in the blogs set up by various people.Many are disillusioned because people that are chosen by God do not behave in the way they do.Yes,we are all sinners and when we realise our wrong doings,we repent and come back to the right path again feeling remorse and ask for forgiveness.Do you see that in these two men supposed to be called by God? AV is adamant and said he does no wrong,it is the members who do wrong,they are the slanderers, traitors and liars without giving any proofs but the members can prove he is the LIAR not them!
ReplyDeleteHas Kong Hee so far acknowledged that he did use the church's tithes and donations from rich people for himself and financing his wife's music career of all places in a sin city Hollywood? The amount paid in rental could have been put to good use to help those in need and to help spread God's gospel.As it is,it is all for one person his wife and the 'blind sheep' don't mind even now being revealed to them.I also thought Singaporeans are wise people ,now I think otherwise , a whole church of fanatics! What will become of S'pore in future? Kong Hee remains defiant and said he could not say anything and could only tell his side of the story in court! When that day comes,I bet the whole church will go to court as well with banners that their beloved pastor did all these with their approval and God helps us,please don't drag all these nonsense into it.The word church has many meanings and if this church believe in a man who did wrong either with intentions or without,it is not a church of God but a church of man and the members worship an earthly God.God's anointed is definitely not like these sort of people.Kong Hee may not be like AV in character and he did it in a way that all his members adore him as an 'idol' as some said he is their idol!! By this we know this church is not the church that God wants.If the 'fanatics' in ASC/ADOS act like those in CHC,then God also helps us! What has become of our Anglican church? Why can't some see anything wrong in our church what more pastors?? If they are that BLIND then give your eyes to somebody who really need them,the real blind ones!

Archbishop Bolly and the HOBs have the authority/power to remove (and appointed) Albert Vun for mismanagement and possibly wavering from the Anglicanism doctrine. After all, he is human and fall very short of the Glory of God. He had the cheek to seek canonical obedience from lay readers etc as a form of obedience to him to serve God (utter rubbish) but he should repeat the vow he took when he became a priest every day (present and future), to remind him that he will subscribe to the 39 Articles and the Book of Common Prayer. If he does not subscribe to it then RESIGN like other lay readers have done for not subscribing to canonical obedience. Be brave like your cousin and set up your independent church so you can build your mega buildings and mega schools. Don't be so shameful till the HOBs has to sack you.
The crisis in CHC is an eye opener for ADOS and it is very timely.I believe this is from God to reveal the truth for us.We took 6 years hoping to know the truth shortly,whereas CHC took 2 years and they will know their truth possibly this month!Looks like some members in our church and many in CHC do not want to hear the truth!.If not for some God fearing members in their church(CHC) to complain to COC,nothing of this sort would have happened because most of their members' eyes are blind.They only see God in Kong Hee and his 'famous wife'.I honestly hope in ASC/ADOS we will get to the root of things once and for all like archbishop said in his letter.
ReplyDeleteBoth my husband and I worked our fingers to the bone for over 30 years and could only manage to buy a small semi D bungalow that we are now still living in without any renovations although it needs a lot of repairs but still trying to save for the repairs to stop our roofs from leaking!That is all we could afford but from what I heard,AV has 2 houses,one in Kingfisher and one in West Malaysia and whereas? He bought these houses long before he sold his family land!No wonder coffee shop talk said if you want to be rich go for priesthood.There is a bit of truth in it and of course you must have some specialists to steer you 'to the right direction'

I am sure in Thailand,they also have Anglican diocese where they can look after themselves and why the need for ADOS to go and open one there? Is the bishop's wife going to open another of her school there? As I browse her Academy school in West Malaysia,how many children are studying there are not stated! Therefore,why spent so much on renovation when you do not have enough children there?

因为不公义的事若不被挖掘、甚至公开谈论，引起关注，可能就会有更多人被不公平对待和受伤害，或不义的事继续进行，因此我们为这部落格感恩。
我们更是相信上帝是公义，他会审判和彰显公义 。 同样的，如果他们是被冤屈的也求上帝帮助他们，上帝也会为他们平反。
其实这是非常非常伤心难过的事情，我们的教区和新加坡城市丰收教会事件都给教会和世人带来负面影响，越是大教会、越是有影响力的属灵领袖带来的负面影响和伤害越大。导致许多人对我们失去信心，特别是牧者。
恳请弟兄姐妹为这些事情恳切祷告，当我们处理及评论这事的时候，保守我们的心，不要用太尖酸刻薄和粗俗的话，我们是一台戏给世人观看，不要演恩恩怨怨、彼此辱骂的剧情，只会让世人讥笑和轻看而已。
不义的会受到裁判，因为上帝是公义的。 然而上帝不但公义信实、也是满有怜悯和恩慈的天父，他希望他的儿女也活的像他的样式 。当我们怀恨和轻看跌倒的弟兄时，可能也不讨上帝喜悦。 我们评论和处理这事时也要检讨我们的心思和言语，不要失了爱心、也不要心存苦毒、口出恶言，把自己陷在罪里。
属灵领袖犯罪所面对的审判更是严厉，因为他们负的责任比一般人重大，现在他们面对调查和世人的眼光、更可能会受到法律的裁判，那已是非常羞辱和难承受的事情，我们也就知道上帝是不可轻慢的，身为上帝的仆人更是要遵行上帝的道。这些事警戒我们要行在光明中，坚持学习行义、行正道。
让我们存怜悯的心为跌倒的弟兄姐妹同心祷告，更是为教会和上帝的国度恳切祈求。

They are right at our door steps!!Better still,take a photo of that gift! Wah,never heard of employees getting gifts from the bishops in the past.Is this a form of 'buying' or an excuse of getting one for the wife! You lucky people!!!!!

If he fail to response, we go & lodge official report with MACC & let MACC do the job on our behalf.
These guys must be locked up behind bars for good and they are a disgrace to all Anglicans & Sabahan.
We must thank God that CHC is now in big trouble because the crisis of theirs is like ours and we are waiting to see how the S'pore court is dealing with them.Whether the 4 apart from Kong Hee had any money gone to their pockets or not,they are just as guilty and their charges are even more than their beloved pastor and the wife is not charged at all! Some of them have charges up to 10!!!! Our dear treasurer Rosalind will be able to sleep well because she refused to be involved in all this hanky panky business but what about the others? Is it worth it giving support to AV? It is not good to sign cheques blindly and you must scrutinize what sort of thing Av bought because it could be different from what it was originally agreed and you signed for it without knowing.Then you will be in hot soup.
ReplyDeleteI think the Chancellor cannot answer the open letter because he is being questioned by the AC now.This is only the first of many enquiries to come -give the AC some time.See what the 'verdict' is before going to MACC! I do hope,AV can be curbed in his actions where the church is concerned while under investigation,if not he will go on spending spree while it lasts! Even now,the investigation team and the AC are here,he still continues to run the church as usual or even if he is not around,he will delegate his cronies to run the church.
Our bishop is very rich.He and his wife have been visiting many countries all over the world and members do not know who paid for all these trips and they had gone to UK many times to see their daughter studying there.I agree with the young blogger wanting to know who is paying for the bishop's daughter's education and whether there is any scholarships for bright young anglicans not only for pastors' children.We also have many bright anglican children that come from poor families and how good it would be that instead of splashing money on building the CC,it goes to our needy children.In that way,I can call it a caring church.

PPL in Meggatal called him Ah Tun & he was a very rough person & very well known then. Have you ever heard AV mentioning his father in any of his sermons ?
After becoming Bishop and having all the perks & power, unfortunaltly AV mismanaged & abused the powers entrusted to him.
HAV strongest points, are his written skills , very polish speaking skills & manipulative skills that catapulated him to the Bishopship. However, due to his foolishness he abused his powers, ie absolute powers, corrupt absolutely.
Today he has his judgement day & trust all the " forced " sacked pass Clergies can go and celebrate " for AV's down fall.
Av shall be melted the same treatment, ie., move out from the Bishop Lodge before sunset & not an extra day or minutes should be given to the punderer of ASC.
YES, MACC IT IS and MACC IT WILL BE, there is no other alternative if the house of bishop fails to get rid of BAV. Let all Anglicans unite once and for all to be rid of the big and small tyrants in the ADOS before they destroy the ANGLICAN DIOCES OF SABAH. CHC HAS LED US THE WAY. There is nothing to lose for us. MACC will do all the work for us, free of charge and none of us need to appear in court, just presents them enough facts and they will do the rest. I am sure they will be most happy to finish the jobs for us and big head line for them. The price we have to pay is high by going to the MACC but greater will be the price if we don’t and the whole ADOS will be destroyed. Those who have the ulterior motives to destroy ADOS and those who supported the motives will have themselves to blame. So for those who blindly support Av, it is still not late for you to repent and ask God’s forgiveness and come out with the truth. You have your reputation and the reputation of your family, especially your children. How can they face their friends? Is it worth it to cover all the wrongs of Av and forfeit all the above mentioned and more? Don’t be a dishonest Hero. Your conscience, if you have one will forever remain and hound you. ReplyDeleteAs far as I know,in the past bishops and Deans never abused their powers that were given to them.Correct me if wrong.For instance,regarding the burial ground,although in the church constitution a person could not be buried in the anglican cemetery as revealed by somebody if he/she did not go to church but it was never enforced! Infact,the church visitors visited these people without condemning them and when sick also went to give them holy communion and had a short time of bible reading and prayers with them.When they died,they were not allowed to have a church funeral service,that was understandable but the funeral service was done in the funeral parlour and still allowed a burial plot.Now AV seems to enjoy depriving people from getting a burial plot and used that constitution to the best of his prerogative.The same applied to other things whereby the bishops always abided to the agreement of the church advisors and never said they were bishops,they had the prerogative to this and that.They never abused their powers although they could do the same thing like AV is doing now.

ReplyDeleteI refer to the ground breaking of the Celenration center which will take place end of this month. . Can someone find out whether any plan have been approved to allow ground breaking to take place and would follow by piling works etc. It looks like the way AV is handling the CC is a repeating how KoKol center was built last time. It is going to be another illegal structure built by the AV regime which looks like, DO FIRST and APPROVED later. But this time, it is right in the city center. Anglicans, are we supposed to show good example to be abiding citizens? We cannot compare our church building construction to those who don't follow the laws. Datuk Stephen Fool, did you advise AV about this? You supposed to be the most learned person to advise.

Instead of looking after and defending the interest of ADOS which is his responsibility as the diocesan chancellor, he has betrayed that trust bestowed upon him and sided with BAV, telling lies and trying to cover up BAV wrong doings. Do not know whether he knows his role as diocesan chancellor or he just was ignorant enough to be manipulated and deceived by the 'cunning as a fox' BAV.

Then, archbishop also should bear the responsiblity. Just remember that 'Bishop' is not God, The Diocese is belong to our Lord, Jesus Christ, not belong to a person called 'bishop'. As long the bishops still alive in this earth, they still subject to earthly law. Truely, the Spirit filled bishop will never call himself second person after God. Until this time, BAV still an enough time to repent. I can see , he will not do it, cannot do it, why, because the Holy Spirit of God no longer with him. What happen to King Saul in Old Testement also is happening to him and his family. It is very sad story. All oF us, surely not happy with this situation. But, it is BAV's own choice! I am appalled to learn such things also happened in our church.I though it only happens with BN.Why all of a sudden the church was so generous when only shortly money was not given to buy other things that the church desperately needed.All these goodies will not get AV off the hook if he is found to be in the wrong.Look at Kong Hee,now his sheep are talking about all the good deeds that he and his wife had done,many lives have been changed and so on and so forth! The fact that still remains they are not transparent and have no accountability even if their sheep do not mind.Law is law.

ReplyDeleteYou guys should have seen the great acting job done by all our Clergies from Canon, Deacons, Revs., & Pastors last Tuesday @ 3/7/2012 during the dialog session with the 3 Investigators.
When questioned by the Chairman of the Investigating team on whether AV took away the microphone from our braved sister Rosalind in the 2011 AGM, did AV wrote in the Sunday bulletin threatening parishioners from asking sensitive issues plus other issues, all our Clergies seemed to lapse into memory lost & couldn't recalled those
incidents. Their brains turned from with elephant capacity to that of otak udang ? hahaha! But..........., when comes to offering time every Sundays, all these Clergies has a superlative memory & can quote bible verses word by word from Malachi about sowing generously ?
What a great disappointment from all these very spiritual leaders of ASC ?
Our people Warden, Encik Wilson Rantau, testified that he think it is OK for the
Cathedral to spend RM100,000.00 without seeking PCC approval, since ASC is super cash rich. hahaha, what a joke !
Will Encik Wilson Rantau give his children some signed blank cheques of RM 10,000.00 to spend without a single question asked ? Mr.Santa Clause Rantau, will you ?
Our elected PCC lawyer by profession, tried very hard to be seen to be very articulate and trying very hard to defense AV wrongs. Unfortunately, I can't understand how on earth did my lawyer friend who happen to be the senior partner of the legal firm she is currently working, employ this smart girl in the first place ?

With due respect to the investigators they are not experienced enough. They should have interviewed the clergy (or whoever that needs to be interviewed) one by one in isolation to determine whether the answers are the same throughout. If they are interviewed as a group in front of many people, sure the answers will be the same as everyone of them (those being interviewed) will be nodding in agreement (to the answers) or saying they cannot remember.

It is too late for AV to do anything.The members had given him 6 long years to discuss things with them but each time he said he had the prerogative,he is the bishop! He can still have a chance to talk to the Advisory Committee team when it is his turn to be interrogated. You are all underestimating the 3 wise men! They are not fools,you all are! You are all acting like one of our our former PMs, sometimes can remember,sometimes can't depending on what issues and what situations.
Now we know what sort of PCC people we have,why go to church and act like a God fearing person when the heart is not right with God?.You listen to man rather than God! I can understand those non-elected PCC having to bow to their boss but the elected ones? Keeping quiet is not the solution. Such a simple question and yet you could not answer.Just YES or NO.What did this mean? Silence means it is true in this case!
BAV and his team must be now cleaning up and destroying documents to prepare for any investigation whether from the advisory committee or MACC or any relevant authority. The longer we wait, we will see more files will be manipulated or destroyed to his favors. We just pray the advisory committee will be blessed with all the wisdom to investigate and not easily influenced by AV side of the stories. In the mean time, we should initiate investigation from outside to strengthen the investigation to ensure nothing is miss out.

You do not need an expert to tell us that.Had they spoken telling the truth,the 3 wise men would think ,aha,these clergies and PCC really have a mind of their own like the bishop said,they have a mind of their own and always guided by the chancellor,the PCC and the Standing committee! AV could have fooled the wise men by seeming to tell the truth but the way their mouths clamped up with sudden memories lost already showed that it was the bishop controlling them,told them what to do and they endosed it!! The elected PCC 'smart lawyer' tried to cover up for AV could have been rehearsed to let the 3 wise men know that ,aha,here is an elected one who speaks the truth,she is not working under AV but a lawyer by profession and therefore there must be some truth in what she said! ReplyDeleteFor all cars related issues, isn't the financial report stated which cars and vans are belongs to ASC? Any cars under ADOS should be bearing under Bishop's name as trustee.
