REMAINING STEADFAST UNTO THE LORD

My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgements come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.  Isaiah 26:9.

More truth has been revealed and we are praying earnestly to see an end to all these episodes of crisis currently the Diocese of Sabah is facing. How long more do we have to wait?

What has Synod 2012 achieved other than casting more doubts and conspiracies? Was the Synod a valid one? Has it not contravened the Constitution that no agenda had been circulated before meeting and was it not the Bishop has chaired the meeting while he was still under the court injunction? What was the Chairman trying to achieve other than to solicit sympathy for the defense of his impending investigations from the House of Bishops and the court injunction?

Will the Synod delegates still cast their votes of confidence to their Bishop if the issues highlighted in the Management Letter by the Auditor were made known to them?  How could such proposals come from a member of the standing committee knowing the issues raised in the Management Letter contain fraudulent effect?  We are sorry to say not all lawyers have learned and maintained their ethics.

Why the two qualified accountants in the previous standing committee help to window dress all these transactions? Do we fear God or man? Does it mean by quoting the Bishop has the prerogative you have surrendered all your integrity and professionalism? What do you gain in God by doing this? How could the discrepancies of approximate RM800,000 in the Kokol Prayer Summit come about? How could you allow the Bishop to purchase properties worth approximate RM800,000 in his personal name in Bangkok at the expense of the Diocese? What about funds transferred to his personal account in Bangkok and the RM1.25million under Mission Account with no records? Has all these been done in the dark between the Bishop, the treasurer and his Chancellor only? Who decided these? How have these benefited the Diocese where other low risk avenues could have been adopted?

We are going through many crises but God is Sovereign above all. Let us bring unto God our crises.  Men have failed us and fallen short of His glory but we are renewed in His Spirit through His strength and hope in us.

  1. Now AVCF's corrupt case has gone global. The blog caught the attention of a journalist who now will blog updates in his blog called newinsightsabah.com

Folks, plenty to read, makes life interesting as well as sad, shock and unbelievable that an Anglican bishop should be the number one in SEA Province to be 'sacked'? and tried in court for corruptions.

I just don't understand why the 2 lawyers,Stephen Foo who is also the Chancellor and Kenneth Thien didn't advice him that what he did was wrong like not following constitutions and under court injunction.Actually he has been committing contempt of court all this while and who has the more Christlike character,JK or him? AS AV said he 'has always been guided by the Chancellor' well Chancellor what have you got to say about all these corruptions revealed?

    1. What does Kenneth Thien know? He is only good in telling lies and ill advice AV. See? AV loves people to tell him comforting words despite he is doing it wrong.

Was it not Kenneth Thien being a member of the standing committee had initially schemed up this plan to propose in the recent Synod the motion to vote confidence in AV's leadership? but was told not proper to come from him then Chris Chew came out to propose again. Guess what? no seconder and it was our dumb Michael Tong then tried to campaign the delegates must vote confidence in AV.

Someone said it before, Michael Tong has no character but easily swing depending on where the benefits and perks. He got what he wanted, the diocesan treasurer.

    2. Be more responsible in what you write. God calls us to be peace maker and not trouble maker. Let people see things themselves and make constructive critism and not destructive as this will not help things to improve,

    3. How can people see things for themselves if these bunch of cronies like Kenneth Thien and Michael are scheming up all the plans to cover the master of all lies?

If our brothers have done wrong, it is our duty to tell them they are wrong. At critical times like this there is no constructive criticism, the only warning is we will bring these matter to complain to their professional bodies if they do not change. Sorry to say being professionals in the standing committee, they are expected to safeguard the interest of the Diocese and not scheme up to cheat the Synod "maliciously"

  2. Perhaps someone should look into the accounts of the bishop's lodge. The one who did the renovations was Chris Chew.He challenged people if they wanted to look into the figures,he has everything but why did he not bring all the relevant documents, receipts to the Synod for convenience's sake, just in case someone wanted to see them?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Chris Chew said to synod members, anyone can view the renovation costs in his office. Can someone make such arrangement and bring along few auditors and accountants to see such renovation cost details at Chris chew office?

If he denies anyone of us, then we know he lied to the synod. The Rm600,000+ was only Chris chew's part. What abt other contractors and also the interior finishing? Furnitures bought by Mary poppins and AV's PA shopping spree special trip flown to KL Ikea at the full expense of ADOS?

  3. Finally at last we see something concrete happening after months of speculating and in despair but the shock is great. Someone said,a priest cannot be tainted and now our bishop and wife are also the same. They are supposed to be the church leaders and for them not to set good examples they should be dealt with even more severely than others! I never knew ADOS is so
loaded with money and that is a temptation to
those in charge. The more you give, the more God will bless you and some of you are not blessed because you don't give big enough-quote from AV in one of his pastoral letters! How the members fell for this prosperity doctrine which cause the downfall of many pastors e.g CHC and yet the pastor said he has dignity and will tell his side of the story in court.Perhaps AV will do just that also. When people said he brought 14 million to Ireland,I did not believe it but now it may be true!

Thinking back, what a con man AV is and many were conned by him,the more you gave, the more it went into his pocket and more oversea trips with gang under the guise of doing God's work, buying properties overseas, giving talks and earning love gifts, looking for opening for his wife to open up schools.Parents, better start thinking of taking your children away from Mary Vun's schools for it will be closed when she is gone.Furthermore, after reading the auditor's report, nobody will give anymore since their money will be siphoned to the Mission Fund to finance her schools and now knowing about it,do you think they are stupid enough to give some more? Nobody knew all this and they just gave blindly, thanks to the truth blogmaster who happened to be given this 'secret letter' to reveal everything to us. YTC,you still want to side with your boss? If you rebel against him now,you still have some respect and so is Kenneth Thien. If you still stick your necks out to be slaughtered, then you are asking for it.

  4. AV lied to the 2010 Synod the Bangkok Garden Condominium was in his name personal name in trust for the Diocese.

There were no trust deed until June 2012. This was probably done later when the PAC was coming down to investigate him.

Even with trust deed was not good enough because the purchase was never been approved by anybody.

The Diocese accounts must be re-audited from 2006.

    1. The fact is the Bangkok Garden Condominium WAS NEVER A FIXED ASSET IN THE ACCOUNT of ADOS. Why?

Is it done intentionally so that by the time AV retire many years later nobody will remember there is such an asset?

There is another condominium in Thailand bought &paid by St Patrick Church but not in the books of St Patrick Church because AV said it is under ADOS. This is also not an asset in ADOS account.

CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS PROPERTY BOUGHT BY ST PATRICK IS IN WHOSE NAME? IS IT ALSO AV’S NAME?

Chris Chew, since you are our PCC from St Patrick’s Church, the Hero of all the lay delegates OF THE Synod to take over from Kenneth Thien to propose the vote of confidence in AV, you tell us now this property is in whose name?

    3. Fixed assets like condo bought in Bangkok shld be taken up as assets & not charged out as expenses. This diocesan treasurer Paul chong also not been transparent in his reporting.

Will this tantamount to fraud now?

  6. No wonder AV kept going to Thailand and we were wondering what attracted him to go there.Remember,he was not present in the AGM,he was in Thailand. There were no special activities going on in Rangsit at that time,so now we know.Such a high class condo, how could it was purchased for the expansion of mission work!! My heart is boiling,so much money spent on this condo and the reason is for expansion of mission work? You do not need such high class place for mission work, more like for him and family's holiday resort, therefore he wants to go there for relaxation but at the expense of the members' money. He went for holidays in US with friends also at the expense of church money.Recently his whole family went to UK,was it also at the expense of the church? Went to Beijing, again on church money. How many times more before you bankrupt the church? How can we still let him stay on,he should resign,no amount of crocodiles will soften our hearts. Our hearts are in pain at the way you steal the members' money and yet you said they are troublemakers, traitors, liars, rumourmongers but in actual fact you are the one who lies! The favoured ass.bishops/Priests/pastors/cronies/staff what have you got to say about your boss? Looks like your boss will not be your boss for long and maybe you have to think about your future! If you think that priesthoods are for you, then rise up with the members against AV to help ADOS for reformaion.

  8. If anyone knows a bit about the last days of the Forbidden City when Puyi was the last Chinese emperor, the Treasure House was burnt down by the eunuchs after looting all the valuables when they found out that they will be sacked. Be careful this may happen to Wisma A. because the person who looted it is capable of doing the same. By this process, he destroys all accounting records in the fire so there are no evidences to prove all the wrong doings exposed in the audited accounts. From whatever insurance money claims and the pledges he can expedite the building of the mega structure which he broke ground recently. It is a Win-Win situation.

  9. Briefly the Police Reports would include the following items:-
    1. Sabah Diocesan Synod 2012 as illegal without proper notices 3 months) and Agenda (6 weeks).
    2. Management Report of the Honorary Auditor
    3. The accounts and records to show how RM49 millions was spent since 31.12.2009.
    4. As the Registered Trustee of Diocese of Sabah, he had questioned property deals within Sabah and beyond giving rise to alleged CBT and Ultra Vires the Constitution of Anglican Diocese of Sabah.
    5. Defamation/libel items in Court document.
    6. My earlier Police Reports on BISHOPGATE.
    7. Government Grants
The intention is to urge the relevant authorities to investigate and take appropriate action.

  11. Now the picture is becoming clearer why AV adamantly wanted to ordain PLo.He really wanted to send them to Thailand by the look of things.PLo will preach in Rangsit Center, his wife will teach in the Academy school to be started by AV's precious wife by the auditor's report that a lot of money has been spent on this matter but no detail accounts to show for it. A second hand Toyota Awanza has been bought according to the Rangsit news update. The Los can live in AV's high class condo and at the same time as caretakers of his condo at the expense of ADOS! Well, sorry AV and the Los,looks like all your plans have to be shelved. To say that you did not know why AV wanted to ordain your husband was a complete lie. When can you people start telling the truth? If you are so strong in supporting AV,come out to defend him, don't let him deal with it alone.Looks like it is not a one man show, others are also behind it but in a minor role. I hope all you thieves and those in the know but keep quiet will not show your faces in church and what can you preach now,you all are the lowest of the low, cheating God. This case is getting more and more like CHC Singapore,Kong Hee for the sake of his dear wife singing career in Hollywood,AV for his precious wife in setting up Academies.KH has a high class condo in S'pore,AV has one in Thailand!

    1. There are 2 condominiums. One from St Patrick and the other from ADOS. They even have the choice of which to choose.

Are their hearts really for God? We really doubt so.

When they do things not right, they will try to hide underneath the carpet and say all the allegations are not true. Don't listen to others; The blog is all lies; Do not sit with talkers and do not walk with mockers.

How vindictive they could go, gotten police to come into the church compound during the ordination service, used crocodile tears to convince the synod delegates to vote out the blog is all untrue. Who can trust you? We are not idiots.

  12. Thinking back,

Inspite of the fact that AV might be found out for stealing God's money,he was able to put on a good show, very good in acting, someone proposed to recommend Hollywood to give him an Oscar! He was able to manipulate a gang of his cronies from priests, pastors, staff and young people as well as 'blind' church members to follow him without questions asked and regarded him a hero and idol because he was ordained by God, that their lives were changed because of him!Within 6 years as a bishop,he succeeded. They regarded him as a man ordained by God and whatever he did,he did it for God'd glorification and has the full power to do what he liked. Thus all their money flowed from their pockets to the pockets of AV for they fell into the trap that if they did not give more, they were not blessed by God and were robbing Him.They did not realise the money they thought they gave to God went to AV's bank account, bought properties under his name and pretended that he is only a trustee for ADOS .He gave a few chicken feeds to his men which they appreciated very much but reserved the big portion for himself and wife.

When members started to query and a blog started to reveal all the disatifactions, they were advised not to read the blogs and the latest news was that close the blogs so that the voice of the people would be stopped. Now we understand, why the blogs were regarded as lies because they reveal the truths. At first, many did not read the blogs for AV and his cronies told them these people were liars and troublemakers and wanted to disunite the church. They were the devils whereas AV and others were saints! Now I am sure all of them want to read the blogs to read how their beloved boss fooled them. Will you all be like those people in CHC pronounce your undying loyalty for him, that you all knew what he was doing, with your permission,PCC,Standing Committee, diocese treasurer and Chancellor and staff of the Cathedral? YTC,what have you got to say about your beloved boss whom you do all the dirty work for him? You and SLo ,as commented by one blogger that you two went to DE to raise a row for printing a notice in their newspaper regarding a dialogue with AV.In future, there will be more shocking news in DE and will you two go again or better still sue DE for publishing LIES? Say something,or are the dumb struck!!!!!

The greatest devil, perhaps was the treasurer for not revealing the management letter during the Synod meeting.Had he done so,the majority of those people at the meeting would have given him a vote of no confidence and that would be the end of him.Why did he not give it? He was doing injustice to God and to the members of ADOS. I hope he will come out to explain if not,he will be in for big trouble.Did AV tell him to do creative accounting?

    1. Michael Tong,Paul chong, Kenneth Thien, Stephen Foo are all professionals without ehthics. If this case is not solved. We will file seperate writ of summon to sue you for failing your duties as standing committees.

How on earth could you all still propose to vote confidence in AV? Observing how you people covered up for AV in the Synod. When someone raised questions on what are the details of the managent letter, you people had manipulated the situation and not honest to the synod. The synod is the endorsing body for the standing committee to execute our decision. How could you people fooled us and not even revealing the matter and even led us into all sort of voting of your motions.

Is it not the Synod has power over the standing committee? Why are you jumping the gun as if you people has more power than the synod by not revealing the management letter and not transparent to us? Where are your codes of ethics? We lost respect to you & you called yourselves as professionals?

  13. Since the blogmaster from truth blog keeps exposing AV's corrupt ways, better not to give any offerings on Sundays until the church is revamped. After that, don't put your money all in one basket (to the church )but also to others whom we know in need.We are also doing God's work in this way. With God,there is no denomination of churches,we are all God's children. In future,we have to be cautious because we have been putting so much trust in the false shepherd until God opens our eyes. This is a lesson from God and it makes us more matured. I hope those priests who are forced to be loyal to AV should come out now from his grip and repent. We will forgive you for you are being deceived and come out stronger in faith. There is no way out for AV for he has too many skeletons and he may drag you all into his cupboard as well,so leave him while there is still time. You can't do anything to help him except pray for him.His days with ADOS are numbered.

In the Synod, you still supported him as the anointed one, does he seem to be like he was anointed by God?

  15. Young priests, you must had benefited a lot by supporting AV blindly for what ever things he does. If not, you should give evidence in the blog to expose A/V . He is playing politics in church, using church money to buy supporters . He shed tears infront synod to get support. Satan is using him to destroy the church. No sensible person would believe him after reading the blog . No good

  16. Young priests,if you come out now to declare your innocence we will respect you but if you come out after AV is gone, then only give your comment of him, then don't blame us for being suspicious and lose faith in you all.I noticed a senior interior priest has been sounding out and brave enough to comment of AV and his cronies that he finds them disgraceful. One even condemned his own people by saying,'they ask you to eat shit, you eat, they ask you to drink urine, you drink' such is their foolishness. They are being taken advantage off, this blogger said.So young priests, are you too like those in the kampong?

  17. AV should declare his assets and JY too. As far as we know ,AV now has 2 condos in Thailand, one house in Kingfisher Sabah, one in West Malaysia and an oversea account in Thailand, money in his account which in actual fact belongs to the church as revealed by the auditor and where else has he got bank accounts? Somebody blogged that he has 4 cars in his family, only 4? We can hardly make ends meet and here is an Anglican bishop who lives in style and has accumulated so much wealth within 6 years as bishop!

You do not need to fear AV anymore. If you come out and make your stand, you make things so much easier for everybody, you gain back your respect, honour and dignity which has been eroding to nearly zero! Our prayers are with you and pray that you will search your hearts to do the right thing.Perhaps you are in shock just like us,take time to listen to what God says but don't take too long! As for the priests, they should themselves have a meeting together to make their stand.Since they had meetings as how to answer to the advisory committee to support AV,perhaps at that time, they did not know so much, now after knowing the truth, you still want to give no comments, then you are not doing your duties to the sheep. They are waiting for your answers!

Perhaps we can start with YTC.What is your comment? No point to ask the Los nor the ass. bishops, they will still be for AV! yTC,we give you another chance. We do not want to hear this Sunday at the pulpit about what good deeds your boss had done, from what was stated in the management letter by the auditor,he did a lot of good deeds for himself only not to glorify God but for himself and his family. They are so glaring and why those in the know could not see it during the 6 years of his REIGN.All the time they were covering up for him, why? You knew God's money was siphoned away from the country especially the diocese treasurer whoever he was and you did not say a word, like the Chancellor, still rooting for him. No wonder AV kept sighting for overseas mission in NZ,the one in Beijing failed, thank God,if not more condo's will be bought.

We don't know what AV had offered you or how much or he had framed you so solid that you allow yourself to be dragged in deep inside
the crocodile pools that you had to be remained silent to protect AV and as well yourself and all his cronies. The same goes to all the young priests cum lawyer and graduates, nurtured by him over the years to be his die hard supporters. Like what the blog says, he plays politics. What hope we have in him being the new treasurer for the diocese? He is equally a snake. Wanted the synod to vote against the issues raised in the blog to say we are spreading lies here. Are we not seeing him acting like AV now? Try to sweep everything under the carpet.

If he has no ethical problem, how could there been discrepancies between the Kokol account which Michael was the treasurer for this project. If ee report him to the professional body and this may even cause him losing his status as an accountant.

  25. The whole bunch at the synod 2012 is brainless, not idiot, but dumb, sleeping under the charm of the mad man who started to cry and the crocodiles tears had swayed them with no brain of themselves as they did not raise questions against the biggest thieves in church led by TPW.

Imagine , the person or persons were the worst put together as the Motions were designed but dare not face the light as such motions must be available 6 weeks before the Synod meeting as the Agenda must be ready and sent out then. Do they call themselves leading Counsels in town? So they can cry now after reading this.
I think KT was fully aware as how AVCF aka TPW was made the Bishop against three other challengers.
    <><><>
    ttp://www.anglicansabah.org/2010.1/Diocesan%20Synod%20Resolutions.htm
Proposed Motions to Diocesan Synod 2012
    QUOTE: “2. Preamble
Our Diocesan Bishop is appointed, according to our Constitution, by the House of Bishops of the Province of Southeast Asia, and not by way of election”
    <><><>
Was there a vote at the Synod then? Then the votes were discounted and the appointment was made by the Archbishop then. Did not KT made such a statement in the Synod before the announcement when he was the Diocesan Chancelor? KT if you visit this site or my site, please confirm this.
Now I think TPW declared that the Bishop was not elected but appointed. That may be correct, but TPW ignored the process towards that announcement. TPW always use his prerogative to make himself happy and MAD. TPW simply ignore all the process even in the case of appointing the Dean of ASC as per Cathedral Chapter as per Constitution of ADOS.
TPW used to write, “I am not appointing a Dean”..as per ASC bulletin 15 April, 2102
TPW is a mad man to like to see appointment when it suit him well.
    <><><>
QUOTE “In the premises, we propose the following motion to this Synod:
“That we, the Diocesan Synod of the Sabah Anglican Church, hereby affirm that the Right Rev. Datuk Albert Vun Cheong Fui is the spiritual authority appointed by the will of God through the House of Bishops having episcopal oversight over the Anglican Diocese of Sabah and we express our full confidence in his leadership.”
    <><><>
Then he turns round and ask KT to prepare a Motion to confirm his appointment by the will of God and it was voted by the hands and feet of the cronies clergy who had pledged canonical obedience to him as TPW. If this motion put to vote is not contradictory to when he claim his office was by appointment, then he should ask the Archbishop of the Province to re-confirm his appointment. So over to TPW on your madness and indeed a grave insult to the Province and the Archbishop.

So AVCF as TPW, one-man-show, great liar, biggest thief, biggest scamer, greatest mocker, the best step forward is for you to resign and restore what you and your cronies have stolen from the church.
Anything else mean the hell is awaiting for you.

You do not have to reveal your identity as a whistle blower. I am sure the church later, will have sympathy for all those clergy or priests who give evidence and may become victims under the AV regime. We must be united to fight against the wrong doer. It is no more the spiritual leader we are facing.

  28. Actually, the priests should not be fearful of AV because he has no authority to sack people. He is under court injunction until 24th September. He is still trying to fool people by putting up the 3 resolutions in his pastoral letter in the Anglican Diocese Bulletin. In one of the resolutions that he is God anointed! These 3 resolutions are not valid because the Synod was also not valid. They did not follow the constitution.I think they want to fool the interior churches that he is still the anointed one!

After airing all the dirt regarding him,he is still God's anointed?? It gives others the impression that God approves of what he did which is not true at all. Some said they will not go to church until after the HOB's decision . If he still stays on,they do not want to see his face in church, they will look for another church to worship. They said if a church allows corruptions, money laundering, cheating, stealing then who wants to be a part of that church, might as well leave for after all,God is everywhere.ASC is just a building!

I do understand your frustration. But as a non-KK resident, what else can we do apart from praying, writing on blogs, and getting my church members to understand the truth? I believe God has put us in different position to do different things for Him,
So far, i believe the bloggers from KK and outside KK have done much in this situation. But personally, I have never given up and when there is a need for further action, I will respond!

  31. Many brothers and sisters in ASC said that they find it very difficult to worship in ASC on Sundays after what they read in the management letter.Infact the letter is not revealed in full but the little that were made known reveals a lot, what more if the whole auditor's report is freely given out like in the past, how good it would be for all of us to scrutinize the report. The members have every right to read the report for they are the beneficiaries of ADOS,why the treasurer did not want to give out to the Synod which is the highest in authority in the diocese?

These brothers and sisters also said seeing AV's cronies conducting the services make their hearts boil for being in cohort
with him and still voted that he is God's anointed after all the revelations of his corrupt ways in the management letter. They said they do not want to have these people to be their spiritual leaders who don't know right from wrong! Even if the members forgive them, but they cannot forget the wrongs they have done to their beloved church some as long as when they were in Sunday schools and had seen through 5 bishops, the 5th one is now creating history. As long as AV's cronies conduct services, they will abstain worshipping in ASC because they do not preach the right doctrine and do not want to be a part in their worship.

  32. Some members said when they see Philip Lo in church, they are disgusted that here is the man whom they strongly protested to become a priest and is made one by the recalcitrant AV.A tainted bishop ordained a tainted priest. The tainted bishop even went to the extent to get the help of the POLICE for protection on the night of the ordination. What did you expect from your sheep-street fighters that would disrupt the service? That there would be a fight in church? As for the wife, she always like her boss cried crocodile tears! The other one is the YTC who also has lost his credibility. When he first came,he was quite well liked but not anymore. He carried the boss' legs, now, what are you going to do,your boss is in steaming soup!

  33. For those who cannot stand sitting down listening to Sunday sermons given by the cronies in ASC, we can go to nearby Anglican churches such as Christ Church, Kolombong or Good Sam. At least those Rev there preaching are more acceptable. But please do not leave the Anglican. By doing so, we are allowing AV regime to fulfill his ambition.

    1. Please do not ever come to Goodsam. Eric Ling is a miniature BAV. Already people are leaving the church. He cannot preach at all. All of us are fed up of his so called sermons which are nothing more than an attempt to support his boss. He said those who give 10 sen treat God as a 10sen God. This is most insulting to the congregation and he is insulting God by putting a price on him. What if you give RM2,000 to God. Are you treating him as a RM2,000-God? What kind of preaching is this. Another time he was so desperate to get people to go to family camp that he said " if you can't afford never mind. You can pay by instalments." then he went on to sing: I owe, I owe, off to family camp I go." Is this not shocking that the rector of Goodsam is teaching his congregation to get into debts? You want to listen to this kind of preaching?

  34. Bulky but mostly rubbish..in the report for that Synod 2012

At a glance of the Report of Synod 2012, it is very shocking for the contents and the accounts of ADOS.

I don’t have a copy but I can do better if I have a copy.

AVCF is too clever to be the Chairman of what he called Agenda when it was nothing in it and only a repitition of the time table in the same report.

What a fool all those who were in the Synod?
EVen a small NGO can do much better than that…

See how the crocodile tears had done to those present – all blinded or they are ao stupid.
Where is the position of the Director of mission in the ADOS constitution ?
If he really have the power to appoint such a position, the Bishop must also appoint a Financial controller to the Standing Committee to clean up the massive mess in the financial matters immediately or the ADOS sure to be bankrupted by terrible mismanagement and corruption.
Lots of reports to come when I can get a copy of the Report.

I have asked myself time and time again, why did the past and present Chancellors and tresurers did not let others know about AV's siphoning money from the church to overseas and even bought a condo in 2009 without anybody knowing, except maybe Chancellor and treasurer.Who were the Chancellor and treasurer in 2009? They cannot say that they did not know for it involved large sums of money. We have yet to see the deed even though it is not legal and who did it for AV?

  36. Why the Bishop wrote in his message to the Synod 2012 that "A Joshua Kong filed a civil suit against the Bishop and against me in my personal capacity. This is not something the Bible permits."
    page 37.

Here we have seen AVCF had filed an earlier suit against me and his hands are 'blood-stained', it did not see the light of the day'.

So does the Bible permits the Bishop to sue another Christian, and so he speaks forked tongue?

God’s Word in 1Corinthian 6:1-6 remains UNCHANGED and is till the TRUTH.
What you are about to read is the HARD TRUTH regarding legal matters on AV and the Plaintiff. These happened BEFORE the Plaintiff goes to the Court to file an injunction against AV. Here is how it goes:-
    1. TRUTH NO.1 – AV, through legal firm, Chin Lau Wong & Foo (of which Stephen Foo is a partner) sued the Plaintiff AND the Police regarding the Police Report filed by the Plaintiff on AV and his misdemeanors.
    VERDICT: The suit was denied.
    2. TRUTH NO.2 – Five non-Sabahan lawyers, through Chin Lau Wong & Foo (AGAIN), working on the AV case and in close tandem with state officials, sued a senior private lawyer and a very senior judge regarding the “workpass” of the Plaintiff’s lawyer BEFORE this lawyer took up the case to represent the plaintiff.
VERDICT: The suit was denied once again.
These are TRUE cases. Check with the legal system and see if these cases are indeed true.
Now, WHO do you think breaks God’s Word? AV or the Plaintiff? You be the Judge.

With regard to the recent criticisms of the leadership, of course, no one can approve of 'malicious' writings in blogs, but we also need to question why there has been an unprecedented level of questioning and verbal attacks on the Anglican
leadership over the past 10 months. I believe two universal and scriptural principles should be considered and meditated upon:

The first we find in the first epistle of Peter, chapter 5:vv 1-3.This familiar passage is about leadership. The first main point is that leaders should serve as overseers, willingly, and not eager for money, but to serve! This needs some reflection, especially as from the perception of many of the critics, money seems to to be an issue. However v. 3 is the crux: 'do not lord over those entrusted to you, but be examples to the flock'.

I think the fact is that many people will simply follow the example of their leaders. If in a nation corruption is a problem, we will find by looking at the leadership that is where the problem begins. The example of leaders will have an influence over the people! If leaders do not demonstrate a good model of Christian character and behaviour, then it will be difficult to find a good example for the people to follow!

The second principle comes in Galatians 6:7 'a man reaps what he sows'! I believe if a person, and especially a leader, sows love and patience, tolerance and respect, humility and graciousness, then he will reap the same from those under his oversight.

Shalom. As I understand it, Biblical Christian leadership in a "family and household of God" is about relating to your neighbour and serving those under your responsibilities and care with a servanthood mentality ! Bearing the qualiti
es of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit , irrespectively always reaching out to them to built them up their giftings for the service to others to do the same, to walk alongside those under your care towards a more intimate relationship with Father God,......It is "God-centric" . It is not about who is right or who is wrong as we all fall short of the glory of God. Lets continue to be in prayerful consideration concerning the crisis in the Anglican community in Sabah.

Was Bishop also absent like he was missing in action in ASC AGM 2012 and appointed an illegal person in rector YTC to be the Chairman then..a diocese full of illegalities..and how to go to glorify God of truth in the true spirit of truth with mountains of illegalities as indefensible?

  39. Outsiders are very interested to keep watch over the Anglican crisis, the sheep and their shepherd. They said never before in the history of Sabah that a bishop is under probe by his sheep and now they form 2 groups, one to bring the matter to the HOB,result will be known very shortly and another group led by the very brave JK with people backing him from behind to bring him to court for mismanagement of funds and CBT which is very glaring in the auditor's report. It takes great courage, they said, for a church to stand up to the highest order, the bishop to force him out.If found guilty, could mean a jail term. What does it mean to Christianity? They said, they are watching what Christians will do to Christians. Is it all forgiveness, everything forgotten, reconciliation, even when there is no repentance, bishop to stay on and continue to his merry spending ways?If that is so,then the purpose of probing is defeating its purpose. Or is it punishment for him,go to jail and pay a heavy fine or just a heavy fine and that's it. Then what about the money he has siphoned away, properties bought under his name, does he have to sell them and return the money and money kept overseas under his name even though it belongs to the church, isn't this money laundering? How will he be charged? This is what keeps them coming to the 3 blogs to find out the latest news.

  43. Chris Chew,, you are a civil engineer by profession. How come you are doing a building contractual quantity job of amount exceeding RM 600,000 for the Bishop lodge and RM 600,000 for the Kokol Project. If it is your own house renovation or the construction cost paid through own pocket money for the church, we have no objection. But this is church money or can be considered public fund. It should be made accountable. You as a civil engineer, you are not competent to certify building works especially if the project is public money. You had breached your professional code of ethnics by certifying building contractual works. This is not a small sum of money. You should give a few copies of the two projects final account at ASC office for members to see. We no need to fly over to Tawau to search your office to see the final account. You can be charged for certifying works not in your discipline.

Ex-Anglican, I won’t be so harsh in condemning the Synod delegates. This is a lot of information and numbers to digest. Even professional accountants had a hard time making sense of it. The blogger had taken over 2 weeks to publish this information. The account does not seem straightforward. The question is why? What is the purpose of preparing the account? One can make it straightforward and easy to understand. Or one can make it hard to understand so not many can ask questions. Then we have to question the motives.

Also, the honorary auditor was an Anglican member appointed during the Synod. We must thank him for his professionalism and integrity. Without him, we won’t have a clue how bad is the situation.

Many people are hurt badly. It will be a long time before we can trust our clergy and leaders again. Lots of soul searching to do. We need God to clean up the house.

    Concerned lawyer,

I am disappointed that you wrote “We need God to clean up the house.”.

Yes God can clean anything but still you and all to do it for God in this serious matter done by human hands etc.

We have a legal system to do it especially the illegal Synod 2012 is not to be respected by any system.

I think there is a concession for any registered association or NGOs that once the members concerned has passed the Financial Statement that was final unless there was someone who opposed it at the AGM or Synod in this case. Am I right in the context of the law? I think this is for practical reason and if thousands of NGOS or registered associations go to the ROS with such complaints, the ROS cannot cope.
As for ADOS, ASC, we are not registered with ROS, we can only go to the HoB or the Civil system for solution now.
The problem we face is that the Synod 2012 had approved the lousy financial Statement.
What choice do we have now?

Thank God, the Synod is illegal for what we know.
Maybe, we need to go to the Police, MACC, apart from the HoB.
For the HoB, it is to be a new complaint apart from the 5 had done.
So can we meet now to DO that rather than talk or write (others included here) so much.

Lawyers are very expensive and the plaintiff or complainants need to do a lot of work in such effort.
So the sacrifice of members in such action need to be helped out and we need to do more than just talk and write.

I hope my appeal would not go to the dustbin or we cry together too late as we will lose out to the biggest thieves in ADOS now already confirmed.

Joshua Kong, I have never argued against your efforts to pursue your case in civil court. While I support the fact you are acting on your constitutional rights, that does not mean I am going to join you in your case or join your legal team. Do not assume writing and talking here is the only thing I do.

In the same way, I have never opined God can only work through the HOB. Whether it is HOB, civil court or other methods, God can exercise his judgement and deliverance in many different ways. My point is to be open to what God can do. Don’t limit him. If He has limits, He is not God anymore.

Joshua, your suit against the Bishop is only one of many ways God can resolve this crisis. It’s not the only way.

    Learned concerned lawyer,

there is so much to do in my case at the Court since five months ago. I wish I have access to more help one way or another and the burden is really very much and I thank God, I have now come to the ruling on 24th September.

At the start of my case some people were telling me that only the Province of SEA or Archbishop could remove the Bishop of Sabah according to the Constitution, but I held my position and indeed there are plenty of cases in the Internet where corrupted Bishops had been removed by the Civil Court before they were send to E-courts. Today, many are still holding on the HoBs with such a long delay and I know the reasons for that.

I know there are still various avenues and I hope you can advise me through proper channels not in the blogs.

To be honest with you I had explored some other avenues but....left to be seen to be effective..

So over to the learned concerned lawyer to finalise the finality of the BISHOPGATE with a final stroke of action.

    God bless all

  51. For massive projects, there should be the right professional to do the proper costing. Practicing engineer should stick to their scope of works that he is competent. For building works, it is appropriate to give professional like Quantity surveyor (QS) to do building costing works. For our Parish projects, involving huge sum of public money, a qualified QS should be appointed to do the job. You may say to save cost, we can get the engineer to do the job. Unless there is no choice, it is still acceptable but the final account must be transparent. We have many qualified QS in our Parish, but why must stick to one engineer to master everything.

  55. Counting the assets of ADOS

BISHOPGATE- ADOS queries by Joshua Y. C. Kong.

P 1.. According to page 56 of the 27th SYNOD report 2012, the assets/land/properties purchase since AV became Bishop was RM14,691,327. The balance sheet as per page 3, shows property and equipment at RM16,159,570 and note 2 page 8 shows lesser than RM10m.

P1Q1. We need to show a detailed list of assets for the balance sheet figures for the omission of assets.

P2. Two Assets were bought in Thailand namely as follows:-
P2.1..Asset 1 - as per page 56 of the 27th SYNOD report 2012,Yannawa District Bangkok Garden- condominium uniy @0, 289/600 10th Floor for Rangsit Outreach
Date of Purchase : 28 Feb., 2009: Standing committee Min 156 dated 1st March, 2009 RM507,308. According Report Synod 2010, Diocese Financial Report page 14, the total payments were RM267,738 (2008) and RM 457,040 (2009) making a total RM724,778.

P2.2 ,Asset 2 - as page 56 of the 27th SYNOD report 2012, Bangkok Studio Flat unit for residential at 515/193 15Fl, Supalai Oriental - Tenant CMS RM208,800 purchased on 20/6/2006.

    P2.1Q1 Why a discrepancy of RM217,470
P2.1Q2 Why a Condominium used for Rangsit Outreach?
P2.1Q3 Was this asset earlier registered in AVCF name?
P2.1Q4 Is it all right to buy first before the Standing committee when AVCF always said SC is in charge when AVCF is actually in charge? What did Standing committee do about it?

P2.2Q1 No mention of this property by AVCF so far as he only talked of one property in his pastoral letter dated 21st July, 2012?
P2.2Q2 Is this property also in his name and sold with money into his pocket?

    GENERAL COMMENTS:-

Diocese of Sabah is largely Sabah, Labuan and little bit of Kalimantan, and how can AVCF goes and buy up properties outside this boundary, hence Ultra Vires the Constitution of ADOS. Buying the properties in Petaling Jaya is alsoUltra Vires. So Standing Committee also had done illegal things in ADOS.

Registering the Thailand's properties in AVCF name is Criminal Breach of Turst and so he know Bishop of Sabah cannot be registered in the land titles.

Since he already knew it in 2006, he continued to register the Condominion in his name but a trust deed was done in June 2012. That Ultra Vire act and CBT cannot be absolved by doing a trust deed. (no crocodile tears can cover this). I don't think the trust deed can keep the asset bought with ADOS money be asset of ADOS as it is no effect. We want to see ALL the land titles now. Even a registered company wholely own by ADOS cannot buy any assets outside the boundary of ADOS.

What about the Rangsit Centre where the church activities are held? This asset is not mentioned in page 56 of the 27th SYNOD report 2012. Was it purchased in 2009 or earlier? Page 56 is a list of assets since 2006. I don't see ADOS paying any rent? So is this asset also registered in AVCF name?

So AVCF always tells half truth or no truth at all. That is the man anointed by God doing God's work passionately putting his UNCLEAN hands into God's money for own gains. AVCF has no respect for the Constitutions (albeit illegal)of ASC, ADOS and the Province of SEA. AVCF makes more illegalities the way of life of a humiliated God's socalled servant.

  58. Dear Bishop John Yeo, we think that it will be much better to let the internal auditor, Mr. George Lin / Mr.Paul Chong to re audit / rectify the 2011 account instead of Mr. Michael Tong who is a third party and no better than others. The main reason is that Mr. George had submitted a late ( last minute ) financial report to Mr. Paul Chong for the synod. Due to the late report, Mr. Paul had not enough time to re check /rectify the account thus unable to answer the auditor’s management letter in time. Strictly speaking, the auditor should take half of the blames because Mr. Paul Chong had stated that he had submitted the final account to Mr. George’s office three months before the Synod began. We don’t think Mr. Paul Chong dared to tell lies in front of God. The second reason was that Mr. George was not presented in the Synod.

(2) The auditor did called up the treasurer to discuss the Account way before the 2012 synod meeting but it was learned that the treasurer said he is outstation (true or not only he knows). 3. To anonymous 16th Sept, if the Bishop, treasurer or Paul Chong claimed that they did not have enough time to check/rectify the accounts, they should not have disclosed this during the synod. 'Paul Chong dared not tell lies in front of God'? Not very sure about this since even BISHOP was suspected of telling half truth. The easiest way out when caught is to blame it on someone else.

  60. Report to the MACC does not interfere with the HOB's decision.MACC deals with corruptions, and in no way intrude into the power of HOB,so why wait? If MACC is not called to do the job, nobody can get all the relevant documents, receipts etc.He even dares go against a court injunction! Some of you are too soft hearted and easily swayed by AV with his cunning ways like crocodile tears! I heard that when AV shed his crocodile tears many at the Synod said he was showing repentance and nearly believed it and said 'enough is really enough' but how long did it last?? Now he is declaring 'Holy War' against you as was reported by Anglican priest.AV and JY,two of a kind, creating disunity in the diocese, encouraging 'Holy War' told the clergies to rise up against the sheep!! My goodness,do we want this kind of so called shepherds to lead us still? Think about what I am saying all you priests, your future is not in the hands of AV ,it is in the hands of God,if you declare now,you have all the members' co-operation,support,love ,respect and credibility. If only you declare after, then don't blame the members for being suspicious because of your actions, you go where the wind blows you to! You want the best of both worlds???

  62. A TIME FOR HEALING AND RESTORATION FOR DOS? IS IT REALISTIC?

I would like us all to look at resolution no. 2 from the HOB in view of the reports given by some of you regarding Canon George Kavoor and AV’s unresolved integrity problem.
“during the time of his sabbatical/study leave, Bishop Datuk Albert Vun will engage a spiritual director who will guide him in his reflection on all that has transpired, his self-awareness and his desire to grow as a shepherd-leader of God’s people.”
    My concerns are:
    1. How much HOB knows about the real situation in DOS rather than hearing most from AV?
    2. How much can we trust AV’s choice of his spiritual director?
    3. How much does HOB and AV know about the term “spiritual director” before they agreed on this term?

According to John Mallison’s definition of a spiritual director, while the spiritual director is giving his spiritual direction to his “directee”, the “directee” needs to take a vow of obedience to his director. With this definition, Mallison sees spiritual director as someone who controls, tells, orders and commands.
    My questions are:
    1. Knowing AV too well, can he take orders and commands, especially someone who is more junior?
    2. AV has a problem of fulfilling his vow of obedience to the HOB. Can he really do it to his director especially someone who is indebted to him?
    3. Can this spiritual director control AV? Even HOB cannot control him, who is this spiritual director? Is he just one of his PUPPETS?
If AV or HOB cannot fulfill what has been promised to/by him, I would see 2nd resolution is just a cover up; a term sounds spiritual but in actual fact, an escape route to the problem. Those who know the situation well understand what I am trying to say here.

Note: John Mallison was as a Christian pastor, mentor, author and teacher, having taught in 29 countries.

  63. It saddens my heart to see the debacle going on at ASC under the leadership of Bishop Albert Vun. When he first started preaching there, his sermons were okay and identifiable but now all I hear is "no pun intended" twisting the scripture to suit or cover his misdeeds. It's also the with his cronies. Extremely disappointing!

I do recall one 'wise' old lady telling me not so many years ago that ASC is a 'dead' church. Indeed ASC almost is, pastoral care is clearing lacking and those truly serving with God's Heart is far and few. Just look around your own back yard for the ripen fields that needs harvesting instead of spending unnecessary money going outside Sabah to do mission work or evangelism.

Dear revs, pastors and lay readers, please do dip enough wine on the sacrament bread before giving it to the parishioners as I almost choked on the piece of sacrament bread dip with so little wine that was served to me by James Ng.

Poor poor scapegoats! These two scape goats need to be sent into the wilderness for carrying the sins of the guilty!?

  65. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Chirist,

I am pleased to publish herewith Bishop Vun’s reply to my letter dated 6th October,2012. Should we stop writing at this stage and wait for Philip Lo’s answer?

    Dear William,

Please note that I cannot answer all emails posted to me as our church's decisions are all done properly even if some may not believe so. We can not explain every decision to every one of our members. We have responsible leaders in our Standing Committee supervising our church's administration and please do not assume we are hiding things from anyone. As a responsible member you need to have some trust in our leaders who are leading the church responsibly.

I have asked Rev. Philip to answer you because the application for a visa to Thailand is NOT a personal or private matter. It is a test our Mission strategy was putting up last year to see if it is possible to get visa for retired couples to spend a year or two in Thailand to serve alongside our young missionaries. And the Diocese provided a "DEPOSIT" (all properly recorded and letter signed and kept in Diocesan office) for this visa to be done as a try-case. Our ACT office in Bangkok assisted with this effort. It is not a visa for me to migrate as some alleged. And because I have supported the Thai church planting work hands-on, I offered myself to test this first application. The deposit is not an expense but a deposit which will be returned (in full) to our church mission fund after one year . All these are properly recorded in our church office and our Hon Treasurer is in the know that this is a deposit. Rev Philip as our Mission Director was involved in the arrangement. The auditor did not know of this and should have asked our Hon Treasurer or our Mission Director - and an explanation would have been given.

So now you know the truth - and I hope you can at least do the honorable thing to correct the damages done by people who spread misinformation that has caused much harm in our church. You should at least come and see me if your heart is troubled by things you are not clear about before writing open emails or blogs that destroy trust and confidence in our church.

Anyway, I hope you can now put effort to build up the church and show love, honor and kindness. Too much gossip, doubt and falsehood have been sown in our Church lately. Let us help to sow the good seeds to build up the church.

    Yours in Christ,

    Bishop

Ps. Because you copy your mail to Archbishop Bolly, which I have asked you not to do so, as we should not trouble our Archbishop with matters we can resolve ourselves. I will cc this reply to him so his heart will not be troubled by this any more.

  66. Just show us the complete record.

Did that deal go through Standing Committee?

Who actually approved the payment of RM85,000?

iF NOT exposed by the Honorary Auditor, all would be lost...

  68. AVCF did not give me these documents in a Court Order --

Quote "And the Diocese provided a "DEPOSIT" (all properly recorded and letter signed and kept in Diocesan office) "

so why now - half truth or simply LIES.

  69. Quote: "Why is the Kokol Project Account supposedly monitored by Michael Tong (the treasurer for the project) cost only RM5.1mil but the costs booked in ADOS accounts shows RM6mil? ADOS account shows Kokol cost RM836,000 more than the project account under the project treasurer Michael Tong. How and why?"

I want M Tong if he was a diocesan treasurer for a few yeaars in the years of 2006-2009 nor longer while Paul Chong was the Honorary Auditor.

Then Paul Chong became the Treasurer later.

Any one to confirm this as they will called to the Civil Courts to be witnesses...so stay tuned.

  70. The Bishop confirmed in a question on this RM85k by Rosalind Liew that this amount was transferred to a private account in Thailand for Visa without the consent/knowledge of the Standing Committee.

Hence it is CBT or simply theft stolen by Bishop and Philip Lo.

MACC and Police should arrest them now.

Standing Committee should lodge a Police Report on this and then resign after that.
